I just skimmed through the thread, super interested in what you're going to do with the front-end now. Stabbed a hole right through my heart to see it go from ugly to gorgeous to rekt. My plans are to get the head skimmed, a valve job, fresh valve seals, all new gaskets, rear sump conversion (any comments on fitment with that BTW?), pretty much a refreshed stock long-block, and then I'll drop it in with a CD009 and adapter kit. I'll run it off of an MS3x with either a 7M CAS or a GTE oil pump and crank position sensor along with a gutted GE distributor for cam signal, because I want to do direct fire COP and sequential. I'm gonna plumb for E85 as well. I'm just learning as much as I can as I go. I'm going to go ahead and use the HX35 from the G54B build and see how it plays with the GE.

After the removal of the head, the block looks like a worthy contender, I won't know for sure until I get to scraping and scotch-briting the surface.
More to come for sure.
