Hey guys I am planning a meet at Jimmy Ainsworth's house November 16th all day event. Maybe even 2 days. I will find info on hotels in the area and what not and update the post. I will post his address at a later date.

Jimmy has asked that we get together and celebrate our love for these cars like the old times. In the past Jimmy hosted many of us for the import showdown twice every year for many years.

We want to see the biggest turnout possible.

Jimmy lives in Lizella, Ga which is a bit outside of the city of Macon, Ga.

Jimmy has been I'll for a while, patiently waiting on a liver transplant. He is now being faced with the need of a kidney transplant as well.

Jimmy has been a major part of this club for more years than most of us know. He has spent a lot of time moderating the boards over the years and organizing events. He has given so much to the community over the years, let's give back to him and head down to lizella to fill his yard with starions, conquests or any other car, most important let's get there and hang out.

Jimmy and Pam said we show up they will provide the famous BBQ.

This will also be posted on our groups on Facebook too. We will use this as the ultimate tally for attendance.

Jimmy's Posts and effort made on this forum has helped me countless times.
I truly wish I could attend this.
Sadly I do not live anywhere near Georgia.

I wish Jimmy and his family all the best.

I will def be there.  Jimmy's meets have always been one of the ones I don't miss.

As for Jimmy having been around for a long time, Jimmy may be the longest standing member in our area.
He was one of the first people I met wayyyy back in 2001.

Time is fast approaching. Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Pam and I will provide lunch of BBQ, homemade cole slaw, and homemade baked beans.  Please bring the drink of your choice.  There are no formals plans, just a day of friends and fellowship. If anyone needs help with their car, there is always someone who is willing to help out. If your SQ isn't up to the drive, it doesn't matter.  This isn't about the cars but the people who love them. It is a SQ family event where we can get together and create fond memories and new friendships. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We plan on starting around 8:30 am and going as long as people want to. There are no formal plans for a drive or dinner out, just hanging out. If you need a hotel room I would suggest finding one at the I-475 and Eisenhower intersection. This is approximately 5 miles or so from my house.  The address is 6374 Fulton Dr., Lizella GA 31052. Cell is 478-832-3864.

I can remember when I first joined here back in the mid 00's people going to and talking about Jimmy's meet in Georgia. It's the biggest SQ meet other than the national meet in Branson.

We had really big meets in GA for many years between Jimmy's, the dyno meets, and then just random get together's.  It was a really tight-knit group down here.  Miss the old days but looking forward to this one.
