starquest.i-x.net   has been down a few days, I recall someone named Trance that owns the rights to the site, does anyone have contact information?  Hate to see all the information on there get lost.

Trance gave it to Shelby years ago.   If Shelby didn't give someone else admin access then it may be gone forever.

Here you go:

Someone should archive the site though.

This is in no way a consolation but atleast you know the information is still around for us to access.

https://web.archive....arquest.i-x.net

The internet archiving organization strives to archive most if not all stuff on the internet so you can use that website to look back at just about any website that was up in the past but not any longer.

EDIT: And I just now saw that silverjoel posted the same link lol.

I remember reading before Shelby passed that he had a flash drive with all of 26liter archived on it as well.  With his granddaughter being a member here is it possible someone could contact her and possibly get the info from these sites so that it is available.  Even if someone hosted them as a compressed archive for download I think the ability to access the old threads, pictures, etc. would be immensely invaluable.

So I was having a brain fart, it was B2600 and Indiana I was thinking of.  Still if anyone can revive anything from 26liter, starquest.i-x, B2600, tristarion, g54b, et al that would be amazing.  I wanted to save the PQ Manuals and other stuff but need to get another hard drive.  Just glad I got all the info I could find on my car saved from SQIX (Which is something I did before I even bought the car).

I'm an admin on the site, but can't get any information or log in.   Someone pays for the domain and has files hosted somewhere.  Shelby made me an admin to help keep it going,  but I have no information on ownership/hosting.  Would like to get it back- perhaps host it myself.

IIRC, xi was hosted on the company server Trance worked for.  There wasn't monthly fees or anything like that he just put it on there.

Well step one is getting the content. I'll see about pulling everything off of the way back machine html and image wise but that is only a static website. Maybe the best way to go about this is to instead make the SOS files and other important information into a PDF package for distribution for everyone.

The nice thing is that cyberquest has many if not all of the pictures.

Appears to have been hosted by amazon web services ultimately.  Would be nice to save the structure and database intact.

Ownership is behind a privacy service.  Contact I-X.NET@domainsbyproxy.com maybe

Registration is at godaddy but looks to be expiring Nov 24

Lastly might find out id shelby's wife has some info she'd like to share.

Structure will be doable. Database will be very hard. Basically we would need whoever has login rights to either back it up themselves or let someone else do it.

Yeah. Not going to get the DB backup without server access.. or hacking, lol. Still, all the available content can be pulled off to create manuals, I guess the SOS stuff would be what ppl want. Good opportunity to delete all those damn emoji's, for somebody with a ton of time on their hands. Just remembered that was the first site SQ I ever posted on, used to post war stories.
