natallica
Just excited, had to share, As some of you know, I've had some bad luck with turbo parts during the last year or so. I picked up an (unknown condition) 12A from a member a few weeks ago for $25. Cleaned it up and ordered a rebuild kit (16G Superback Kamak kit $59) and a new Kinugawa 16G wheel ($59). I called Jim and Gerry at GPop shop and told them I was doing the rebuild myself, but I'd like them to machine my 12A parts (CHRA and Compressor housing) and Balance (just to be on the safe side). I got a quote from them for $125 machining costs, and $65 to balance... then $18 return shipping was added for a total of $208.00. They inspected all of my parts and called me to let me know everything was in perfect shape to proceed. I was totally stoked to find that they had also completely rebuilt the turbo for me after they were finished (it's an easy job, but still, I told them I would take care of it to save myself a few dollars) The way that this was packaged was very nice (Bubble wrap/Kraft paper/ peanuts, and really nice closed cell foam made to fit snugly over both open ends of the fins. Total I have in a brand new 12A to 16G conversion is $351.00. If any of you are contemplating their services... what are you waiting for? Top notch work, and really nice guys to chat with on the phone. Willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Great experience in my book, hopefully it performs the way I'm hoping it will (I'll post about that after the holidays when I install her) Here's a few pics of their handywork... however, I think I may polish the compressor housing before installing to make a little extra "bling" like SOTTY http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03057.jpghttp://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03049.jpghttp://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03052.jpghttp://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03056.jpghttp://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03048.jpghttp://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03046.jpg this sounds more like a feedback topic, but I just wanted to share some pics and my experience using them for my turbo project. -N8

Dodge2004srt4
Ive dealt with them back when I had my 2.2 Daytona turbo. They bought cores off of me as well and were great to deal with. I was thinking about using them when Im ready to have a turbo made as well. Glad to hear nothing has changed with those guys! Chris.

natallica
They put the turbo together so they could balance it as an assembly. Looks good!! -RobertOh, So I did pay them to do it...Damn! I thought they only had to balance the wheel/shaft together, then mark it.I was assuming they just did it because they already had my parts.Oh well, felt good regardless, I was under the assumption I'd be doing it when I got it back. But it was already done -N8
