On June 18th 2015, my wife got me the best birthday present ever.

She knew I was stuck on getting a Starion... and my baby made it happen.

She's an 87 Starion ESI-R in Palermo grey.

We purchased the car, knowing it had overheated and 2 cylinders were reading low compression.

Here are some pictures from the seller's home the day I got her.

Some pics after head replacement, timing chains, and paint.

Also replaced the 195 thermostat with a 180 thermostat.

Complete gasket replacement except the rear main seal.

There was an aftermarket sony headunit installed.. the steering wheel controls didn't work and looked quite shabby...

I removed the buttons, filled, sanded, filled, sanded, filled, sanded.... etc....... then painted.

I'm happy with it.

The clear plastic cover on the steering wheel had something nasty on it.

I wet sanded it, used Plasti-X, buffed and polished... again happy with the results.
