Im very pleased with the results. Definitely surpassed my expectations.

I have to thank Ryan for the trust and freedom he gave me with the build. When it all started, we were shooting for an awesome street car. So much so, we stuck a stock cam in it and with some degree changes, it made pretty good power that pulled to 6k. When we put in the custom FunkLab Camshaft, EVERYTHING changed. It was like the car chugged an energy drink. 6500rpm arrives in a hurry! Not what most would expect from such a simple build or a G54B at that!

There isnt a stock cam dyno chart.

Tye/wrngwae has a stock cam in his hx35 car

Ryan and I have very similar builds. Only I have. Stock cam. It is retarded 3deg.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. The FunkLab's top notch fabrication and tuning is what made this car what it is. I have put a few thousand miles of not so easy driving. We had the car on a dyno for 3 hours straight with out turning the car off and made 23 pulls in that time. The car has exceeded my expectations in every way. This thing even gets close to 30mpg when I drive the 500mile round trip to his shop on the weekends. I can not thank Phil enough for the attention to detail and quality he put in my car. I also have to thank his wonderful wife for putting up with many nights of us working in the shop until 3 and 4am and my wife for putting up with me being gone for many weekends while working on this project. I also have to thank Dad for being a great resource for parts, and being able to get them to be fast whenever I need them. I could not be happier with the results.

awesomeness

Funk Master does it again ! at TSQ i was able to witness first hand what the Funk Lab skills has to offer, and let me tell ya, it gave me new found desires in the 54B and what's it's capable of in the right funky hands. i don't know what it is, but the exhaust note of ryan and phil's quests' are very unique, kinda like something really funky is going on in them 4 cylinders

...i must stay stock, must stay stock, must stay stock

:P

now bring that bish back to the track and get those 11's like i expected you to ;)

stock cam + 'decent' sized turbo normally peak 400 ft=lbs ~4000rpm (from my observations)

performance cam looks like it shifted tq peak 1200 rpm higher and fought off the nose dive

was the holset 12cm exhaust housing used ?

luv seeing these solid 54 builds. Good stuff

My yellow one did 440 at 16 psI with a 35r. Would say that is pretty good for that size Turbo!
good for you....... you should make a post

sounds interesting. SQC could use more of those types of posts (on builds/dyno)
