Hello my fellow finatics. I wanted to ask this question because I have a black quest and live in TN and itís hot as you know what here. My uncle is cleaning out his garage and he gave me like five cans of R-12. First, I donít even know if my car has been swapped over to the 134a yet or not. How can I tell if that procedure has been done? If it has not been done is it OK to use the old cans of our 12 in my car? Iím going to have to do a little digging and find the proper attachments for the can anyway.  But I feel like that is doable. Do you guys recommend the old refrigerant or the new refrigerant for my car? Itís a 1989 Conquest. The information that has been shared to the club meme era is the most in depth and awesome description on how to trouble shoot a/c system. Honestly I havenít done the steps yet but plan on doing them soon. But really wanted to find out from people that know the car way better than I ever will. If you have any feed back please help a sweaty brother out. Luckily itís not my daily and it stays in the garage during the week where itís nice and cool. Thanks a million. If someone wants to help me direct that would be cool also. 615-604-7705 shoot me a text or a call either or. My name is Ben

Replace the hoses and o rings and vacuum it down first.  Make sure it holds vacuum.  Change the dryer.

I gotta find those people then, or convert my AC system. But right now......no cold air :(
Just gonna have to go through the whole AC system regardless, low refrigerant might not even be the issue.

It's getting hot out there guys lol.

Yo Varsaman, I would share a can of the R-12 with you to share the love. Text me direct and weíll figure out the brass tacs. Iíll get on eBay and see what they go for. Definitely not trying to gouge anybody. If you had something small to trade me that would be cool. I need center caps. If you had a set of 4 for some reason we could work something out. 615-604-7705 Ben. Text me because I donít answer #ís I donít know.
