  1. We just cut a small batch of full and notched chin spoilers and they're going fast!
  2. Fabricator said all the brackets are formed and will be going into welding at the end of this week
  3. BC_99 you are a great vendor and customer and have always done me right. I also appreciate you putting on the referee jersey and trying to clean up this thread. However, making some elusive comment about some "other" members having some sort of issue with my customer service over who knows what, and when it happened, and all the other ambiguity has no basis in this thread. So I have to take it as a comment to coax me into posting up information that you want. Seriously, what is the relevance to some hear-say that you may or may not have heard in regards to this particular issue at hand? I'm perfectly fine with agreeing to disagree with JohnnyWadd... I dropped it along time ago, as it's a trivial sum of money. However, you can see in plenty of my posts in various places on this forum that Johnny is a heckler and tries to make comments to get me going that have little relevance to initial posting....so I ignore him. He's done it on my LED Tail Lights, Battery Hold down brackets, etc, etc.........so ignoring his antics is the best policy going forward
  4. After 4yrs of mfg this kit with stellar results, it seems that members are now reporting fitment issues with the '83 hood because of the side vents. Here are a couple of mods that will help alleviate the problem, but may not entirely fix the issue due to hole and hood bracket mounting placement during initial install. Further, the hood bracket design has evolved through 4 iterations in 4 years, which drives hole placement location differences. These mods will help get the hood flush with the fender, but may not entirely resolve the issue: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/motocam360/SQ%20Hood%20Struts/83%20vent%20bolts_zpsyitup82n.jpg Remove the factory '83 stud and nut from the side vents and replace with an M6x5mm pan head bolt http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/motocam360/SQ%20Hood%20Struts/83%20Hood%20before_zpscprqqiul.jpg The heat shield can get in the way (see the yellow interference dye on the strut and heat shield). http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/motocam360/SQ%20Hood%20Struts/83%20Hood%20after_zpsw5qw4w3i.jpg Note the orientation of the heat shield retainer clip. In the orientation shown above, it does not make contact with the strut body. I am working with another good SQC member to try a few other minor refinements to resolve this "flush hood fit" issue so stay tuned.....
  5. Attention Vendors/Sellers: He beats you up on price, makes demands about products that you do not make, threatens to leave you negative feedback on SQC, threatens you with voodoo doll statements, and also threatens to call the Better Business Bureau on you.... proceed with caution: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/motocam360/SQ%20Hood%20Struts/chrisbrasher25%20comment_zpsrkfuuth5.jpg http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/motocam360/SQ%20Hood%20Struts/chrisbrasher25%20ebay_zpsrl3igaen.jpg Chris: "i do not want this to get ugly, and i am trying to be reasonable here, you should have red in stock or should be able to have one ready and to my house before july 1st....................... when you send it,i'll send this one back,i have no use for it at all............................. " "if you can not get me what i paid for all this information will be shared with e-bay and starquestclub.com.." ME: I will state this one last time - We do not offer a red painted aluminum air diversion panel. We have never offered this product in that configuration. We have never built one of these products in red paint or red powder coat. We do not plan to build this product you are asking for.......ever
  6. Why bother trading for the info..... I linked most of it for free on my vendor listing. I will also create some nice member feedback for you for free that documents the lovely feedback you left me on Ebay after receiving the part you paid for, extremely fast, and then threatening to leave negative feedback on SQC and call the Better Business Bureau if I didn't come up with a red painted air diversion panel asap before your PF trip.....fyi we have never made that part ever so your threats and demands are beyond ridiculous. Other vendors need to know about this experience and why I reserve the right to refuse service to you
  7. I have posted some of the possible solutions to the '83 hood fitment epidemic on my vendor listing
  8. That's nice that you have heard similar from others too..... cool.... I've heard lots of stuff about lots of you guys too... FTW I know that all the members think I owe them something for their business. It's real simple - if the quality of the new or used parts don't meet their needs, or the service doesn't meet their needs, then please go elsewhere. This is strictly a hobby, and becoming less fulfilling by the minute
  9. You have a pretty selective memory dude. Ask yourself why would I send you 2 gauge hoods and cover shipping both times ($15ea) and accept the paypal fees for the transaction all for the whopping price of $50, without at least expecting to get the part back that you deemed unworthy? You think I really earned $13 total on that transaction.... Are you kidding me? I have found the best policy for me is to totally ignore you and so I will continue
  10. I placed a call last week but didn't hear back. I will call them again tomorrow.
  11. To date, you have not purchased one new product from us buddy, so your comment is completely inflammatory, which is probably why you've been banned several times from SQC over the years for similar behavior. You did however rip me off by getting 2 stock gauge hoods for the price of one.... what's the matter, did you forget that you were supposed to send one of them back (the lesser condition of the 2). I moved on from this and let it slide, but I think it's time to bring it back up since you want to add gasoline to the fire
  12. We figured out a solution for this a long time ago bud... pm me and I'll be glad to hook you up for the '83 hood
  13. Really?? This is all very confusing based on your emails to me: You: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/5215247570.html "90.00 dollars will you take less?" You: "can you give a solid quote i am at zip code 35005 total amount please and thank you sooo much will pay with paypal, just send me a email where you would like for the money to go thanks again....also i need instructions on how to put them on,i am a complete virgin, and will need step by step instructions i have a 1983 hood on a 1989 chrysler conquest tsi" You: "sent paypal 80.00 dollars thanks a lot bud" ME: "Sorry I had to refund your payment after I saw your name…. I can’t do business with you as long as that negative Ebay comment still exists….. just not worth it for me" You: "glad you did,if i would have known i was buying from you,i would have never placed another order with you ever.................THANKS AGAIN......................" That's the last email that was exchanged so I'm very surprised to see that you found the kit elsewhere, given our sour interactions. I thought we had a mutual understanding that you didn't like my products and I definitely did not want you as a customer....what happened?
  14. I see you couldn't resist our hood strut kit.... even after I refused to sell to you and refunded your money because you've been a huge man baby with your temper tantrums in previous dealings... Read the instructions carefully and install it properly and you won't have any problems with the hood bowing. Even in this thread there are several who have posted that don't have the problem when the kit is installed correctly. You can see a small glimpse of how many kits we've sold - it's not reasonable to believe that all of these customer's had install issues, so common sense says you should then look at the installer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290849618217?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
