Ok soon I just rebuilt the engine and I'm having an issue when I crank it after sitting over night it cranks rite up but sounds like a freaking dirt track car with open headers (the way it chops, not hoe loud it is) and revs itself up and blows raw fuel out the back till I pat it for a bit and then it lvl out and stops blowing, I think it's flooding itself but don't know how beings just before I rebuilt it I checked and cleaned the injectors myself and they seemed fine....help please i dont have $200 for new injectors

Check the resistance of the coolant temp sensor (the two prong one) and compare it to the spec in the FSM.

1. coolant temp sensor for gauge (88-89 used a two prong sensor)
2. EGR valve
3. engine temp sensor for ECU (this is the one scott is suggesting to test)
4. a/c shut off sensor (in the event the motor is overheating this sensor will shut down the a/c compressor)

Nvm lol didn't read it and #3 is brand ne and is there a pic of the wire colors that go to what sensors?? Also I noticed that the little black resistor thing buy the coil that has a blue and a black wire doesn't have the black wire going to anything...where does that go?

that black resistor is just a noise suppressor for the stereo and goes to the negative post on the coil.

i think if you go over this thread it should tell you which color wires go where.

Sounds like leaking injectors,  run the pump with ovcp pipe off and engine off of course. See if injectors are still putting fuel in intake, there is a fuel pump jumper wire by air filter housing

If that's the case, are my brand new rings gone already?

No. Leaky injectors cause gas in oil if they leak bad enough.
Like carbs with bad needle valve or seat. You end up with gassy oil.

The simplicity of a character is a natural form of prefound thought.

It happens, but.....Might get more response yet if this thread were moved to Basic or Advanced Virt. Mechanic forum where it belongs.
