Reduce wheel hop and tranny vibration

You know those bushing's that are on each side of the crossmember that

the torque tube attatches to . Well , if you replace them fill them up with

998 black silicone let dry overnight and press them in . They have alot of

hollow space in them allowing alot of movement . This will reduce the slapping of the crossmember to the body. The tranny mount also has alot of open area , filling this

with 998 silicone will reduce engine vibration at the stick....

Peace Geo

I noticed the new rubber engine mount that I have is really soft.  I was thinking of drilling holes and filling it with urathane or epoxy or something a little stiffer.  How stiff is the 998 and where can I get it?

I used roofing urethane to make motor mounts for my Probe . If you fill real deep it takes a long time to dry though , but worked great . It is the only roofing urethane in a yellow tube and is where all the silicones are at Home Depot . I think it is Pro Line PL___ something or other . It is good stuff . Stiffening things up WILL transfer more vibrations to the interior ! But the mount was $65 each and the Urethane $3 a tube , 1 tube 2-3 mounts ..... Mike  P.S. - The uses for this stuff are limited only by your imagination .
