Turbo question

Freebird says it is a very good turbo for a quest.

But

They come in a few different compressor trims

49, 52, 56. Freebird is running the 52 trim I believe. Ballbearing.

49 is possibly too small.

Be sure to have the proper supporting mods.

With that small of a turbo you're better off using a 16g mitsu turbo. Bolts right in. I'm currently using a GT3582. Spools pretty good but I'm MPI. TBI with a GT35 would be laggy. Don't expect 300hp without some sort of fuel and ignition mapping. Stock injectors are too small and the stock ECU wont support bigger ones without help. Easiest way to do that is to go full standalone. The stock FI is an antique. Dino tech likes dino mods like maft and piggybacks. Those mods don't give you control like a standalone does. If you plan to go MPI my advice is to keep it in stock/driveable condition until you have saved $ for tuning and gotten all your parts. Easiest way to lose interest in a car is to have a half finished project sitting there for a long time.
