  1. hello looking for knock sensor box for 84. a guy on here was going to sell me one for $30. I cannot find that old forum..thanx..
  2. markhansenconquest, let me get back to you on that, it is a great price! i have to wait until next friday for payday, i am on a strict budget, lol. but i am interested. and vbrad511, thank you for info. i appreciate, i may buy from you both, so i have an extra. i can't believe this box disables the vehicle. thank you both. nice support.
  3. ok, thank you again for everyone's enlightenment.....um...is there any options for a light-weight hood? or as they say in britain "bonnet". have you guys checked out the L.E.D. conversion taillights yet? any good?
  4. It is for a 1984. Black plastic box. Thank u for response.
  5. wondering if fatty spoiler can fit flatty? if not, any options for me?
  6. how much for a ignitor (knock box)? thanx..
  7. hey guys, i'm looking for a ignitor box, anyone have any extra one's laying around? please..thanx..
  8. Oh...ok. thank you! I have wondered about how to turn that chime off, i may just keep it on. Much appreciated sir.
  9. Your knowledge is much appreciated, thank you! I will try what you said to do. And thank you for letting me know about parts wanted list.
  10. i looked up some of the issues with this box in forums. and yes this may be the issue. but WOW! even on EBAY $260! is there a cheaper route lol? my local junkyard never has conquests in. but i was wondering if any other mitsubishi's use this type of ignition control box? from what ive read, this is probably the issue, but wanna make sure before i go spending big bucks. someone said that if tachometer does not jump while cranking, it is a bad box. is this true? thank you again.
  11. ok. igniter box is (knock control)? right? if so, can i test it somehow? thanx....
  12. Thank you for your responses guys, ok i went to look at ECI fuse link, the connections were kind of corroded, so i scraped them off. injector terminals looked clean and shiny. still no start. but i will replace with bosch you recomended..um 87redcat, when you say ignighter box, are you refering to distributer or ignition coil? sorry i am not to familiar with early 80's cars. i have removed ignition coil and will test it today, it is Diamond branded and looks original, so maybe i will have luck and it may be issue. i will update soon. thank you guys again for your time. thank god for STARQUESTCLUB.COM!!! if i cannot not figure this issue soon, i really cannot afford expensive parts right now, and instead of it rotting in garage i will sell for low price, it needs to be on the road where it belongs,i am in colorado springs, she is in great shape, a little rust on fenders and small dent on drivers side, paint job is burned but used to be atlantic blue but faded now, 110,000k odometer. all parts intact. new tires and aftermarket wheels but i have the original wheels (one missing). ill try to fix first. i love her!
  13. hi, yes me again....i know i have too many questions lol. can anyone tell me what the box is under drivers seat? it has on and off switch. i'm thinking since ECU is in passenger kick panel, the one under seat may be a factory stereo amplifier? maybe? i dunno....thanx in advance.
  14. Hey everyone, i think i am in the right forum, if not sorry. ok here is my story, i have 1984 conquest that was given to me by a friend 3-4 years ago, he knew i was always looking for one, so since it had starting issues he gave it to me to see if i can maybe fix it. the wierd part is it sat around for a year and one day i went out and started it with a borrowed battery, and it started right up, i was excited and did not really have the posible old bad fuel in mind, i decided to take it to gas station and add new gas since it was almost empty and hesitating really bad probably due to bad fuel. so luckily i returned home and it all of a sudden died when i was backing into my garage. since that day that it died, it will not start again whatsoever. so i disconnected fuel line going to injectors just to see if fuel was coming from pump and it was. then a week later i dropped tank and replaced whole fuel system, pump, filter, etc.because i thought the bad gas may be the issue, it still will not start, it cranks but will not turn over, it just kills battery. i really love this vehicle and i want to keep it out of the crusher, i have mechanical knowledge but these cars are a mystery to me. can anyone please point me in the right direction? i just hope its not a timing issue. sensors? electrical? distributer? i am puzzled...THANK YOU!
