  1. Mod is done... Noticed smother throttle response better Air/fuel mix. inlet to match upper injector feed ...Tornado in Connecting pipe just before TB Injector plenum... Visit www.26liter.us for pics on major bolt on upgrade including this one... Pushing +300hp Mods: T3/T4 V-Trim & Custom header, Pulley, TB mod & 1gMAS, 2.5' Downpipe , MSD6 BTM, Profec B, Tial BOV, Adj. Fuel Reg, MSD Fuel Pump, Custom 2.5" Exhaust, 3 wire O2, Denso Iridium plugs, ARP Head Bolts, HP Water Pump, 170' Thermo, 2.25' Intercooler pipes. The STI and EVO Cats better step a side....cause JPX Is Comming....
  2. Tornado Mod is done .... TB and piping looks awesome! Still ceramic coating but expect to fire up/start Quest This Sunday 9/20/03... www.26liter.us/DUgallery/cat.asp?iCat=74 Visit their gallery for updated pics of this mods and T3/T4 buildup project. Expecting around 300hp... later.. ***PS: Evo 5 JDM Sited pushing over 450hp in NY will post pics as well... Later JPX
  3. Question? What is the stock intercooler input and output temperatures at 10psi w/ td05 turbo? I hear the Starion/Conquest 88/89 intercooler is ~85% efficient.. Also thinking of a intercooler upgrade to a huge 32x9" setup.. stock is 18" for my T3/T4 setup at 15psi... ;D
  4. Great Dyno Run... +40 hp over the stock is great...Congrats....
  5. I have had my pulley for 2 yars and no such problems as "crank walk" or no ill effects... Remember the crank pulley has 1/6 the mass of a flywheel OEM. Why would a lightened aluminum or chromemoly flywheel be acceptable as a performance upgrade and not a lightened underdrive pulley??? Humm... The rubber (Durometer) in the OEM style pulleys are designed to isolate accessory noise (AC, Alternator, Pwrsteering, etc...) and not a balancer or a critical harmonic dampener.. the twin engine balancing shafts really do what they were engineered for..."Minimise critical harmoinc vibrations and noise" which would otherwise be deterimential to the longevity of the 2.6 engine. 98% of all Japanese vehicles are internally balanced...since the late 1970's The viscosity and weight of you engine oil plays the greatest role of dampening internal mechanical vibrations. Stick with 10w-30 oil and go latest technology Synthetics( Amsoil, visit urban racer Tech experts for more info....or email me directly)
  6. I got my SFP custom Header with T3 flange internal wastegate... all i can say is awesome... Doin the ceramic coating myself Turbo going in next week... later
  7. The UR pulley is a great upgrade. I had mine for oner 2years with no problems. picked up 15whp with it. UR products are billet and are zero Balanced not to offset any engine specs... I worked with UR for over 5yrs on projects, Racing team and was a Sales Manager until march 2003 when I moved on. They make great products.. EIP is in the clouds..... later

  9. I typically use the Dynomax Ultraflo units 2.50" P# 17263 They flow great and have a deeper sound with a borla tip. Summit can get them for around $99
  10. Guy's N Gal's: Heres the deal... The air splitter in the TB was designed to direct the presurized air flow to make a 90' turn into the Intake Plenum where Both Injectors are located. The fuel atomized air path works its way past the TB Mixer Plate and then makes another 90' turn then a other 90' degree turn then splits. The air flow path has to make not 1 but 3 90' short Radius turns or a total of 270' degree turn (Intake pipe to Head) into the opposite direction into the individual intake runners(round) for each Intake head port finally into the head. Stock Fact***Air changes direction 3 times from the intake pipe to the head*** The Tornado Generates a vortex which allows the air to flows better especially around 45-90' turns. Excellent solution for short radius turns The concept is to improve on outdated Mitsu design. "Just making things better" It will improve Air atomization because the injection mixture takes place directly after the Tornado and in the air path. Better distribution and controlled airflow. Remember the air flow other wise just tumples to make the all three 90' degree turns (sum 270' degree) ... ??? Fluid Dynamics 101 ??? I have the Engineering degree to back up what I Propose... 8) I'll keep you guys posed next week when it gets installed with my 1G Mass air flow later... ;D
  11. Here the Jusss... Motul, Redline (Diester) AMSOIL, NEO, Royal Purple (PAO) Mobil-1 (Processed + Synthetic additives) Pennsoil (Synthesized) http://urbanracer.com/articles/anmviewer.asp?a=233&z=11 Hope this clears the air...
  12. It all sounds good but... ??? Why do all of that converting, etc. when Nitrous express has a CO2 n-cooler kit which would accomplish the same thing for under $400 Basically a fogger setup that mounts in front of your intercooler and looks nice.... I've seen thew N-cooler kit it on a 240sx/S15 Sylvia conversion that was awesome .. That's on my August wish list ..... later...
  13. Sounds great.... I will try to get one from Summit Racing.. great tip Thanx......
  14. Guys n Gals; This weekend I will be modifying my Injector Throttlebody when I rebuild it to include a Tornado (Vortex generator) for improved flowbetter A/F atomization... basically mill down the splitter inside the TB before the Injectors.... I thought of doing this a week ago and since i know it will improve response (HP and Torque) PS.The tornado things do work.. tested... 7hp and 10ft/bs at 4500rpm on my 4 Cyl 2.2 Honda. MSD 6BTM currently being installed...
  15. Yes, AMSOL was initially a Diester (Alcohol + Acid) based Synthetic oil, like Redline but in 1988 they revised their formulation and developed a stable PAO ;D. Which Redline and Motul did not :'(. PS Just did my 88 TSI Differential with AMSOIL Gear oil and loving it...Tranny is next on my list Check out Urbanracer.com Tech talk-Tech experts April 11, 02 post... or http://urbanracer.com/articles/anmviewer.asp?a=233&z=11 I really get into the technical stuff. Your welcome to contact me directly .. Best regards...
