  1. thanks guys, I just ordered the bracket and a p/s seal kit. you all have been great. JB
  2. I'm hungry. I need the plates.... plates. Anything new? Are the cusco just like K-macs? or Ground Controls? I'm in the market. The best deal wins. It's almost payday, and i'm rich for the weekend. lol jb
  3. Art, What's up, just read your thread, how can I get some plates and coilovers? jb I have the stock setup, your setup sounds like the best choice for an 87 TSI, help me out. thx. jb
  4. Keep me posted, I need a set of fronts and backs, thx. jb
  5. Hit me up with those pictures, too. thx jb jabattle@yahoo.com
  6. Matt, Thanks for the POS info. GOT IT!! Check this out. Since I was too cheap to buy a new switch, I did clean it up and actually switched the buttons. I carefully shaved the notches inside the buttons in order for them to be interchangeable. Anyway, I was bored, now the switch is tighter than.... Anyway, it wasn't the switches, it was the passing control relay inside and to the left of the glove box. The transistor portion inside the black box (relay) burns out. this connect the blue/black wire and blue wire to the pop-up motor relays. Anyway, did a little swapping at the local junkyard and wa-la my lights shot to the down position quicker than I plugged the relay in... lo and behold, if that light switch doesn't work, check out the passing control relay inside and to the left of the glove box. peace and good lighting jb
  7. Matt, Â Â What switch are you talking about? Â POS? Â I think this is my problem. Â Where is the switch located? Who has a new one. I needs, baaaaaaddd!!! Is this the left hand dash switches, that so many have been complaining about?
  8. Is there anyone selling just the stock fuel injectors with the rings and injector clips? how much

    Timing 101a

Good call Shelby. Thanks, I need to set the timing again after this thread. I set it 10 BTDC and called it the day. jb
  10. I agree..it's not a good choice... It actually takes away from the nobelness of the almighty last of the first generation turbocharged 4 cylinders that were way ahead of their time in style, luxury and looks with a powerplant underneath to back up that pretty style. These cars set the precedence for these newer burners i.e. eclipse, evos, etc.
  11. what combination of spring and struts did you use for the lowering? What else did you install? Plates, camber adjusters? Which have become better ST or Eibach springs. I have some bouncing in the rear when I first take off anyway. Is that a strut issue or bad springs. Everything is stock by the way.
  12. check the inside door jam on the driver side to see the lowest possible pressure for the tires on that specific style car. The manufacturer sticker in the door recommends the best possible tire pressure for that car's performance, not necessarily just the tire specifications. If your family members ride with you, keep them safe as these cars are very unpredictable. I've had mine for only 2 months and it's like a brand new baby... everyday is something new. btw.... buy a 93 camry ;D
  13. Sup, I just bought an '87 Conquest last march (2002) with a blown head. I thought I bought a lemon because I didn't know what kind of car this was. It sat broke for a year with ultimatums from the wife to get rid of it before I came back from Iraq. I remembered it as a kid. I just bought the new non-jet head for it and a few free do it yourself mods. My questions as a virg-in-quest are: 1. Modification to the Air Can. Can I simply cut out the slot and how big? There is a K&N filter installed already. 2. The vacuum filter on top of the distributor may have failed. Can I fix it or replace it? 3. What is the 1g mas that everyone is talking about. Does any other company beside Top-end Performance sell the ovcp/bov or the hardpipe package for the turbo/intercooler assembly. 4. Can I fit the wheels of an 88 or 89 (9" wheels) on my 87 which has 8" wheels. 5. Does anyone know why the 88 and 89 came out with more HP than the 87? Why. If you can help, hit me up jabattle@yahoo.com "I'm a late bloomer, but I'm catching up fast.
