MikeMeyerhoff
Thats simply the nicest car I've seen forsale for YEARS!. Rare, 84 only H39 Kieser Silver. Actually its the first US H39 car I've ever seen that wasn't beat to hell (including the one I had). Its a base model, with a sunroof as its only option. Early base model cars are fairly rare, most were optioned up. The stick/sunroof combo is somewhat hard to find in later 86/87 flatties. Really sweet is that the base cloth has survived, most of the time its dry rotted to oblivion. I wish I could bring my 84 back to that one's level! It'd definately take more than $6k to do it

Dred_85.5_TSI
If I had the cash I'd grab that car in a heartbeat. Its just plain sick. FlattyLove
mrvwbug
It's titled as an 1984, but the build date on the car is September 1983;The VIN number is: JA3BC44HXEZ403055. I have the carfax as it's very clean. No accidents ever and appears to be in near mint condition. In my mind it's an 1983 which makes it rarer unless there are features which would really make it an 84? It looks just like my old 83 including the badging. Cheers, Jim

That's a starion vs conquest difference. The roll ups were all conquests.
jonboyb
In my mind it's an 1983 which makes it rarer unless there are features which would really make it an 84? Ummmmm.....maybe the entire injection system
mrvwbug
Ummmmm.....maybe the entire injection system Your are correct! It does not have that (ECi) plate or whatever it's called! Good Catch!I knew someone could find something which makes the (84) stand out, other than the title. Slim Jim Saw the opening and had to take it You should get a pre-83 build date car so you can have an 82 Starion Other little features different too like 83's had manual mirrors and the almightly 83' tails and hood.....makes an 83' probably $1000 more valuable vs. an 84' from the start (in theory obviously). 83's had the metal front air dam too. Although I have to admit I don't recall seeing those wheels on a post-83 car???? Maybe they had leftovers...LOL Edited June 24, 2011 by jonboyb

I have a hard time telling myself ALL STARQUESTS are rare. I left my very good to great condition '83 go for about $1800 in 1996, which I'm still kicking myself today. It was identical to the one Midnight Ride had for sale on here a few years back. It just needed some turbo work and the precat gutted.
