1988 Chrysler Conquest Tsi drive : rwdfuel : gas transmission : manualtitle status : clean cylinders : 4 cylinders

I am regrettably selling my project car Chrysler Conquest Tsi (aka Mitsubishi Starion ESi-R). I have been very reluctant to put this car up for sale because I really don't want to sell it but living at home my parents are fed up with having it take up a spot in the garage. If it were up to me I would keep this car forever and finish the restoration of it.

Looking for $1000 OBO. Car needs to be gone ASAP. Can deliver the car for a nominal fee. No reasonable offers refused.

TL;DR: No rot on frame or body which is extremely rare for this car in New England, turbine housing needs to be replaced, head/tail lights need to be diagnosed, runs and drives.

I originally purchased this car from a member on the Starquestclub forum and had it shipped to me from Alabama. I did so because it has NO FRAME ROT and very very minimal surface rust! This is the perfect project car if you are serious about building/restoring a conquest seeing as the chassis is in excellent condition (which is very rare).

I had a motor built and installed in 2012. Since then only around 10,000 - 15,000 miles have been put on it (I have to check to make sure, it could be even less). Engine block may need resurfacing. Good news about the motor build is that most of the parts were brand new (OEM oil pump, OEM hardware, timing chain and guides from DAD's machine shop, JE 8:1 forged pistons). The engine currently has an OEM cam in it with a non-jet valve head and mechanical valve lifters. Emissions deleted and EGT block off plate. I have a spare cam (TEP I believe). Worst case scenario you would need to resurface the deck and possibly replace the rings.

The stock turbo has a large crack in the turbine housing. Currently it has an open 2.5" down pipe but I do have the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust will mount to the down pipe with some minor modification. The car has some electrical gremlins like most of these do. A lot have been sorted out but the most recent on is that the headlights/tail lights/dash lights all went out one day and I have yet to figure out what the culprit is (the pop-up lights still pop up). Brake lights and blinkers still work so driving during the day is fine at the moment.

The car would come with a lot of spare parts.

As you can see the paint is far from perfect. In Alabama it had seen some hail it appears which left a few minor dents in the hood, but mostly damaged the paint on the spoiler which as you can see is now peeling off. There is a softball sized dent in the drivers side door which I also took a picture of. I have an extra wheel but it was part of a tire blowout due to a hidden providence pothole which bent the rim. Wheels have minor curb rash from previous owner.

I'm sure I am forgetting a lot of details but feel free to come check it out and give it a test drive if you aren't afraid of getting nabbed by the police for driving an unregistered/uninsured car. If you are interested or have any questions feel free to reply via email or give me a call/text.
