So I changed my setup and wanted to see how much difference it made...my numbers were 375whp and 400 wtq...on 25lbs. Pump gas and 60/40 meth/water mix. My last dyno run was Jan of 2015 and it made 275 and 320... So quite a difference, I am TBI and Maft. Just thought I would share my results.
Forged motor, weisco pistons ,3" exhaust, garret 60 cold/ 96 hot turbo, 950/ 1800 injectors , 52mm tb, maft, meth kit.

Thanks guys, I am running a Garret 60mm/96mm...cold/hot ,I think that would be similar to a 35r. I am also running  fuel injector clinic 950/1800 and stock cam.

You know I feel like I left HP on the table, my A/F was 11.2... So I would guess that a 11.5. 11.7, would have got me close to 400whp. not to mention that another lb or two of boost would have also pushed me close or there... Perhaps past, but with maft I ran out of adjustment ...without changing the Aux or Base settings and ran out of time as well. I will be hooking up a Second gen maft with some sensors... So hopefully I can dial that in a bit better. I think 425/440 is possible....maybe.

Driveability is good, of course with the piggy back maft, there are tuning issues sometime, I am hoping that the second gen maft will eliminate some of the tuning issues and I believe it will also offer more tunability. That may lead to less issues and perhaps more power.

When I ran an SAFC2 it really helped with the maf translafor tuning. I didn't just zero out the maf t. I got it tuned to about 85% with the maf t. Then I fixed all the small spots with the SAFC2.

I would recommend trying that if you're planning on keeping the maf t for a while. You might even make a few more hp if you can really get the fuel smoothed out 1
100%

Those are great numbers too. I made 300hp/400tq with stock engine, njv head, 89 ecu, maf t, safc2, 950/1280 and td06 16g with 3" exhaust. I wonder what I could have put down with a larger turbo like yours.

Thanks for the good comments... They are appreciated. Funky I took some inspiration from you as I am running a stock exhaust manifold, opened up a bit to match the turbo inlet. Also the extension that allows me to run a T4 flanged turbo. I should have the dyno sheet emailed any day, as they were having some sort of computer issues that day...a little choppy up top, but I think that is inherent with the maft...alone.

I will look into the safec2 turbo Cary, I will be swapping to the second gen maft...fairly soon, but I am always looking into better ways to gain HP. I would imagine that you would have made a fair amount more HP...considering you being able to fine tune. As I mentioned, with the A/F at 11.2, I feel like there was HP and tourq left on the table. On the first pull, A/F were 11.1... I made the adjustment ( last lean adjustment I could make) without changing aux or a least base and it picked up 6 or 7 whp, on 1 tenth....we shall see .

Leaning out the fuel is a dangerous way to pick up a few hp. On TBI cars I always stay low 11's on the tune. Just personal preference. Making 400hp on tbi is one thing. Doing it and keeping it alive is the other.

What are you doing about ignition tuning? 6al2 prog, 6btm??

Also I believe the MAFT gen2 is kind of a safc + MAFT in one.

I am not running any ignition tuning, just trying to keep the octane up to prevent detonation. Just the stock ignition system with the help of a CDI box. I think you are right Funky ,2nd gen maft does have properties of both the safc + maft in one, I will be also hooking up air temp sensor, MAP sensor. Those will be wired into the ECU....

Well, I will look into them...so funky why is it so important to be able to retard timing...I kinda understand the premises, but I may learn something.

Stock curve is too agressive and will lead to detonation. Somewhere there is a discussion regarding the stock timing curve.
