  1. The legend, YELLOWHELL, will be attending pigeon forge for the first time. I won't have my rotten banana though. Yes, I'm aware that I am a legend in my own mind.
  2. No, the prelude's not stock. It has a japanese h22 swapped into it with I/H/E and a set of 17's on it. It also has a a decent sound system in it. The main reason I want to get rid of the Prelude is I get waaayyyy too much attention from the police in the car. That and the fact I'm 37 and riding around with a loud exhaust. I don't know the mileage on the stratus, but I do know they recently replaced the motor (like 3-5 months ago) so I imagine the kid beats on it or doesn't change/check the oil regularly. I haven't taken if for a test drive yet, but I might.
  3. I have a guy who wants me to trade my 1992 Prelude for his 2002 Dodge stratus sedan. I was wondering if any of you guys had experience with that generation of Stratus and what your opinions are. My main reservation, other than reliability, is my prelude is getting ~31MPG, but I have to put super unleaded in it. The kid claims his stratus gets mid-upper 20's with the 2.4L engine that's in it.

  6. The next time you're having trouble validating windows make sure your date and time are correct. If they're off by more than a few hours it will not validate. In regards to your original question, it may have something to do with the current updates on your machine. That's just a total guess, but that seems to be the only thing that would change.
  7. Before I grounded the wires direclty to the battery I was having a cooling issue and at one point the temperature gauge did go just above the middle line. I don't know if that's enough to pop the felpro, but I will do the leakdown test as shelby stated first chance I get.
  8. THanks Shelby. It turns out I had the primary and secondary injectors backwards. They're upgraded injectors from CNM i got a loongg time ago. I switched them and the idle straightened out. I still has a slight little stumble every ten to fifteen seconds while idling. Just to give a recap of what I have done and what is actually installed........ 88 Conquest 1gmas AHP Stock 12a that is real sloppy stock intercooler OVCP with HKS drag BOV Completly rebuilt throttle body with bigger injectors <----I cant remember the cc's Bosch RRFPR blocked off EGR Brand new CTS, temp sensor Brand new 8MM wires, ngk plugs cap & Rotor Tested Vac. advance Reset tps and isc 6-7 months ago new injector clips and change about a foot or so of the wires *soldered to old wires and then heat shrinked All new fuseable links Cleaned and rechecked all grounds MSD blaster red coil Walboro 255 Fuel pump NJV clearwater head with New lifters schneider hd springs SS valves P&P and a scneider 284H cam Ported exhaust manfold and hot side turbo housing 3" cnm DP and exhaust Rebuilt bottom end with arp rod bolts and head studs BSEK My oil pressure is just above the middle line while idling. I have an aftermarket boost gauge installed in the stock location and it reads about 16" at idle The boost is set to 7psi by a single port wastegate The only thing I haven't completely replaced is all of the vac. tubing. I replaced a lot of it just not all.

  10. I have a CNM exhaust that is nearly identical and had to buy an extension pipe for it to fit right. my problem was the same the turn just before the muffler was a little short for the turn. Just so you guys know the extension was only 5$ at autosone.
  11. what are 85's ? I have the certs, but what is the schedule like? do you have to stay all year or is it so many months on so many months off schedule. Another question is what kind of pay are we talking? I have the following certs: MCP-WindowsXP Network+ A+ I am studying for the CCNA and have Windows server 2003 (70-290) scheduled for the end of June. I also have 6 Years on the job as a net admin.
  12. Here's the situation the car has a bumbling idle that's not quite a dead miss but more like a weak plug or a bad plug wire. The car does great once it's boosting. I do have bubbles and a little coolant loss. It got a little above half way on the temperature gauge before I set the cooling fans to run all the time. Now it stays at or below 1/2 way on the gauge. Here's the pics of the plugs after it idling for a few minutes and me revving it to about 4k rpms every now and then. What's troubling me is that the number 4 ceramic insulator is white all the way down and the rest are black just past the top.   14. Well I thought all of it was over, but they've issued a tornado warning for the Mississippi county right next door. Other than that our power is out and there's some debris around, but everyone's safe over here. I haven't heard from Harry hopefully all is well.
  15. Just a little update. It looks like it lost some steam and might not be as strong as previously thought. It looks a whole lot better. We still don't have much wind just starting to see some light rain. The first wave of storms are near Biloxi, Ms. so somewhere in the next hour it will start.
