I will be swaping turbo's out and  going to a t3/t4, I have been looking at a nice treadstone that is setup for the t3/t4 and the flang for the external wastegate . Does anyone know if the runners on the treadstone are a larger diameter as compared to the stock manifold. Of course looking for more air flow for the bigger hot side, thanks
Forged motor, weisco pistons ,3" exhaust, garret 60 cold/ 70 hot turbo, bosch 1000cc injectors. meth kit. chads intake and header. holly EFI stand alone. *DM intercooler. grimspeed boost controler. stock cam.

Thanks guys, star that pic is great appreciate that....I would think that a tial 38 would be big enough...the turbo that I am swapping is a airesearch  with a .96 hot and a 60 cold side...any thoughts or suggestions

I ran a 82 and 63 and a 48 AR
Think the 63 was best for daily driving.
But loved the spool if the 48.

Currently the turbo I run is a turbonetucs
Super H compressor 52 lb \min
With a similar to TD06 turbine size.
57 trim turbine

Why does the treadstone suck? I've had one on my car for a long time and never had any issues.

1. they crack as often as 25yo stockers
2. less directional influence than even stock.
3. poorly locate everything.
4. its my opinion so its a fact.

Lets just say I have kept and put more miles on a junk smb then I did the treadstone I had. The only plus to the tread stone is cast, thats it. The placement of the turbo and wastegate are terrible. You HAVE too run a spacer for the wastegate to clear the down pipe. And you can not run a dump tube or route into downpipe without running it facing the valve cover.

Save your money and spend it on a JDL manifold or GATO. Yes they cost more, but you get what you pay for.

And what phil says goes around here!

I don't have that wg fitment issue.See my recent video. I have a synapse 40mm wastegate with a dump tube running down almost parallel with the downpipe.

I have ball valves to control the vacuum being pulled by the intake because it's just a fitting without a PCV valve on the front of the VC. I'm using krank vents also. Without controlling the flow, the engine pulls too much vacuum at idle and I don't want it to blow a gasket.

That is some good info, thanks for the pics funky...let me ask when welding the cast what rods did you use..I know there are many cast metal combinations, thanks.

Wow, sorry I never responded. Most have luck mig welding it. Regardless of method you need to use a proper preheat and heat maintenance, and slow cool down process to protect the cast. I can do it for you if you cant find anyone.

Thanks funky...good to know, I may ask my neighbor who will be doing the modifications if he would do a header instead of moding a stock manifold...it will be up to him.  Just looking for the most exhuast flow .

I also had the Treadstone and had no problems with WG/dump tube clearance with a Tial 38mm. The turbo does mount lower that stock. The runners are bigger than a ported stocker and mine was stress-relieved. It's basically a copy of the more expensive and harder to find Turbonetics Starion manifold.
