  1. Anyone know where the diagnostic connector is on an 84? I cannot find mine to save my life. Ive dropped the glove box and its not there. I couldnt find anything under the hood. I also didnt see it in the drivers side footwell where my DSMs plug is located. Anyone got any ideas???
  2. SAFC is the Apexi, Super- Air Flow Converter. Its basically a piggyback computer that intercepts the mass air meter signal and allows you to change it thereby tricking the ECU into thinking a different amount of air is entering the engine than is actually the case. http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp
  3. So no one knows if this will work on an 84??
  4. The star shaped cardboard insert serves no other purpose than to quiet the intake. Leave it off.
  5. Will this swap work on an 84 quest? Im not really familiar with the differences as far as electronics go. I have two 1g MAS laying around and would like to put one to use on my Conquest if I can.
  6. Im running Prokits on my 1g AWD without a camber kit. Its just a tiny bit out of spec. Nothing Im concerned with. As long as I can get the toe correct and the camber is symetrical all is well. I dont have any unusual tire wear problems from it.

  8. Well I think Ive answered at least one of those questions on my own.  Looks like only the ESI-R and other later models had the adj shocks from the factory. Id still like to know what parts are interchangeable between the model years and trim levels.  Seems to me most of them should be pretty close, but Im not sure.  Does anyone know?  You guys are pretty quiet.  If I did this on DSMtalk Id at least get 10 people telling me Im an idiot and to use the search button  ;D I have btw.
  9. Ive noticed in a few posts that mention is made of stock adjustable shocks? Was this all model years or just the later starquest cars? I have an 84 and was wondering what kinda suspension it was equipped with stock. Id also like to know if there were any other differences between model years as far as suspension goes. Im looking to do some basic mods to the engine and focus mainly on the suspension, but Ive noticed that there are very very few aftermarket parts out there that I can find. My primary toy is my 91 AWD Talon so this one will be more of a budget fun car.
