  1. I just emailed the pics from my phone so I had to email one at a one lol sorry about that. If you can jut resins by email since you have my email adress now because I'll be at work until late. Thanks
  2. I tied to post the pics but for some reason I couldn't, am I doing something wrong. If you want to pm me your email or just write it on here I can email the pics to you. Sorry or the wait
  3. Oh ok that's not too far, I'll post pictured I have work all day tomorrow and I think Saturday but maybe I can get my girlfriend to take them. Did you have a trade offer or cash if your interested?
  4. I'll try to take some tomorrow if I get any time off. Like I said it definately needs paint because half of the car is red lol. Where are you located
  5. Lol sorry about that I just saw all the cars that were a greyosh and figured it was the same. Thanks for the help though.
  6. Hey guys, the time has come for me to let go of my conquest. Here's a fast backround of my quest, I bought it in febuary when I returned home from Iraq to use it to get to and fromy base everyday instead of getting 12 MPG in my truck. I purchased it off of a guy for $2200 and he swore to me everything was perfect and he was a mechanic, well since I've had it I've noticed problems here and there and have done my best to fix them all, most of them were just small issues. The quest is Palermo grey however the idiot painted the entire middle of the car a reddish color and to add on to it I just put a red bumper and fender on since someones spare tire hit me while driving on the highway to base. It has the red leather interior and for being an 87 it's on very good shape. The car has 115000 miles and the turbo was upgraded to a turbo from a newer eclipse, the turbo still functions great. I was told the clutch was just changed and a short shifter added on as well, the tranny does shift amazingly smooth so I'm guessing he was telling the truth. The cruise control is in there however it doesn't work, same with the AC but then again the belt was cut off of the AC so it may only need the belt. Below I'll list what I've put into it and then what is still wrong, but don't get me wrong she still runs strong and I wouldn't hesitate to drive the car a thousand miles tomorrow, I still use it for work once in a while but not nearly as much as when I got home, but the quest is still pretty quick and extremely fun to drive. Things I've done: recently changed all of the spark plugs to the ones everyone says to buy on here, and I also put on a blaster 2 coil steel braided fuel line kit and new fuel filter steel braided oil drain back line because the old crappy one broke and turned the highway into a smoke cloud all new lifters new fusible links electric flasher chrome hard piping with BOV hard piping from turbo to intercooler new spark plug wires new battery I also have a dual guage pod with a boost guage and A/F guage not installed from mookeeh also a radio kit from the group buy 1G MAF not installed the bad: needs an exhaust cause the old one came off exhaust leak where the header meets the head small power steering leak but I have a good gear box just haven't put it in passenger side window only goes down with driver side switch. That's all I can think of for right now, I couldn't sleep so I figured I'd take the time to get something done and list the quest. I'll try to post pics ASAP. I'm asking $1800 because I paid $2200 and put a good amount of money into it but I'll consider all offers. I'm also willing to trade the quest, I'd really like a jet ski lol or even a nice quad or maybe another car that gets better gas because the quest doesn't get the best gas running on 14psi if I let the turbo spool, so I usually take it pretty easy on her. Any questions feel free to ask and if your interested shoot me an offer or let me know what you have and feel free to come take it for a test drive. Thanks guys.
  7. I still need a thermostat housing asap because I cracked mine while replacing the thermostat and it leaks too bad to even try and drive it. Send me an offer with the price and your paypal account and I'll transfer the money. Thanks guys
  8. hey guys, i was changing out my thermostat today and when i was putting the metal housing part that goes over top (sorry i have no clue what its called) i overtightened it a tiny bit and crack!!! so now it obviously leaks pretty bad and i can't drive it, does anyone have one they can sell me?
  9. I wired up the other fan and it works great. However it's the larger fan on the passenger side and only comes on when the guage reaches half, isn't that suppose to be the primary fan? The smaller drivers side one comes on much earlier. My temp never goes above half now but is there a way to make the larger fan the primary again?
  10. Hey guys, so I figured out the problem cause the noise in my car. I took off the turbo heat shield and first thing I saw was an exhust manifold stud hanging completely out and leaning on the manifold as well as 2 more completely missing. As I tried the stud that had fallen out and tried it in the other holes I notices that it will thread in but has a good amount of play. What should I do. Should I go ahead and fond the next size stud and lock washer and screw them in? If so does anyone know where I could get them and/or what size. I know dad has the stock ones and I'll probably need a gasket from him of I take off the manifold. I need ideas. I was going to take it all apart by my turbo banjo fitting are basically rusted onto the turbo so I didn't want to break them trying to get the manifold off but I may have no choice. All advice is greatly appreciated. I also figured out my odd engine temps and hooked up the new clip to the fan on the passengers side which is the bigger fan and it ones on but only after the guage hits half l, isn't this supposed to be the primary fan. The smaller one next to it comes on a lot earlier is there a way to switch this around. Thanks again guys
  11. thank you so much for the write up, the black soot your talking about on the heat shields, i can remember always seeing a dark black like stain on the heat shield that runs along the pasenger side of the engine bay right next to the turbo oil drain back line, is this the heat shield your talking about? i thought that the black residue was from an oil leak i had when my oil drain back line came off and sprayed oil everywhere however once i cleaned the engine and degreased it the stain wasn't there anymore i dont believe and now its there again and it gets worse and worse, but i always thought maybe there was still an oil leak and it was driving me crazy because it wouldn't be wet, just black. but is that about the location of the black soot that you said it would be if it were a warped manifold? like i said if you look at the heatshield against the passenger side it starts to bend when it gets closer to the firewall if i remember correctly and all the black stain like stuff is before the bend. is this a big issue if it is? could it be a loose bolt? im guessing that if it is warped its going to be an expensive fix? thanks again for your help
  12. so i finally got a stock air canister with the oil seperator attached to itsince the idiot before me just had a filter on the accorian hose and thats all, but now i have no idea where all of this hoses and lines go, does anyone have pictures or can describe to me exactly where all of the different hoses run?i feel like in that set-up there is important hoses and maybe vacuum lines that should have never been taken off. i know where the oil seperator runs but is it ok for me to use regular hoses or is there supposed to me metal lines? i know the one hose goes from the top of the seperator to the accordian hose and i have that connected, and the back of the valve cover goes into the sipe port and the bottom goes to the oil pan, but is it ok to use a regular hose? then theres a hose coming from the bottom of the air canister and i have no clue where that goes, also on the accorian hose right in front of the turbo theres an opening that is plugged right now, im not sure what goes there either, then on the top of the air canister is another port that goes straight up and it looks like its for another hose and on the bottom running along the lid has an "X" marked, and also a little nipple on the lid that looks like it from a vacuum line. pictures would be great or a good explanation would work as well, thanks guys
  13. is there any way to decifer which is which, i dont'e believe id make a mistake like that but i guess anything is possible
  14. well its me again, you guys are probably getting sick and tired of my posts but i have a lot of time and as i go through the recent posts i realize other problems ive run in to. the other day i got my 1G MAS in the mail and wired the new harness in (soldered all wires w/ heat shrink after) and once i plugged it in and drove the car is was ten times slower, it would take forever to boost and seamed like it wanted to bog out. i have an upgraded turbo from a newer eclipse and a big BOV but besides that the quest is stock. is it possible i wired it backwards? i highly doubt i did but i guess its possible but would it even run? i put the regular MAS back on and it ran like normal again. i know something has to be wrong or maybe my car just doesnt like the 1G but it made the car run horrible. if i wired it backwards by mistake would the car still run? thats the only thing i can think would be the problem since i just put the connector right onto the stock MAS and it ran fine again. any ideas? thanks again
