  1. This person won my Magna intake that I listed on ebay. He emailed me daily for about a week and then totally stopped communicating with me and never paid. Please dont do business with this person. He is 1 negative feedback away from being kicked off ebay. Thanks! J
  2. If it is not cracked or cut.... you can use vinyl dye. It will look brand new when done. Krylon "Fusion" paint will also work if you need an odd color. http://www.starquestclub.com/index.pl?boar...;num=1067532376

  4. I didnt have the luxury of the internet community when I did mine. Thousands of $. It would be much cheaper to buy a straight one someone is parting out.... and build 1 car out of the two... Hey wait a minute.... I've got a straight body if you want to come get it.
  5. I had the frame pulled and put back together by a local aligment/body shop. The car drives as straight as an arrow and rides like new.... As far as rust.... No problems, I've never drivin it in the winter and rarely drove it in the rain. J
  6. I would cut out the origninal metal and look for someone parting out a wrecker and have them cut out their metal out and send it to you.... I have an 86 Starion parts car that I could cut for you. If you could post some pics of your damage, I could see if I can come up with some replacement panels. You may also try another user here "Kreal" he may be able to help you too. J
  7. Thanks moderators for creating the restoration forum. For anyone out there debating parting out vs. restoring a StarQuest, please RESTORE IT. There are plenty of parts and resources availble on-line now a days. Hell, in 1995 I brought my 89 back from the grave with zero resources on the interent. Restoration should be a piece of cake with the advent of a StarQuest community on the net. Need some motivation.. Here you go! http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/wreck1.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/wreck2.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/wreck3.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/l5.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/l7.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/show2.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/show3.jpg
  8. Just received word that mine was shipped Oct 20th.
  9. Hooray! I just received a reply with my balance. I'm paypal-ing it over right now. J
  10. The knobs you speak of.... do you mean the latches that allow you to fold the seats down? If so, you can dye them with any of the vinyl dyes on the market or Krylon "Fusion" paint. Check out this thread for more info. http://www.starquestclub.com/index.pl?boar...;num=1059708852 J
  11. It is a screw on knob... Just twist your old one off and twist the new one back on. I just got mine last week... Man it looks great. The base is a bit thicker than stock but you dont notice if you bunch the vinyl shift boot up towards the base of the knob.
  12. I am still being patient but I definately agree... 2 months...several emails from me and 0 replies... I would like to get my manifold at least by next March...Hopefully that's a possibility... if not , I'd like to start persuing other possibilities to go fast by next summer... A v8 or 2.0 conversion is looking more appealing all the time
  13. Paul. They are the Momo RS GT Tuner Seat... I think the lowest I found was $250 per seat. Good price for MOMO stuff.. I'll try to dig up the link that had them for that price but in the mean time... These guys are good too.. http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/rs.html here's a sweet pic http://store2.yimg.com/I/ltbmotorsport_1761_1814116 J
  14. Here are some pics of the redyed pieces installed in my 87 TSi...Note...they were once maroon and covered in years of sh#!t. The carpet still looks a bit maroon with the flash bulb...odd...they look black in sunlight... I'll have to give them another coat. http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/pur3.jpg http://www.trendsetterdesign.com/mystuff/pur4.jpg (the seats were not dyed...just reconditioned with Zymol Leather Conditioner...found at Target Greatland) Brand spanking new! J
  15. Chip. The picture above is one of my maroon door panels out of my 86 that I dyed black/tan....It turned out flawless. I used MarHyde brand off-white for that. The color looked a bit fleshy but there are a ton of different brands out there. Â I'm sure there is one that is really close. I would recommend sneaking a small piece of trim in to Wal-Mart. Go to the automotive paint section and look for the dye...I believe Wal-Mart carries "Duplicolor" brand....I think....either way, it's a blue can that says "Vinyl Color". Pop the lid off when no one is looking and give your stuff a quick spray. You can also use the new Krylon "Fusion" plastic paint also found at Wal-mart. (found with the rest of the spray paint in the Hardware dept) They will probably have a wider selection of colors. Let me know what you find. If you find a color that is really close PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! Â I'm putting together a collection of restoration resources and documents and it would be of great help to have the Brand and product # that of the dye that matches the buckskin... Also...I found another 87 in town and am thinking of buying it and restoring it white with buckskin or yellow like yours. If you find a color that works, I'm sure you'll be re dying your entire interior...The stuff is that great. I have re covered some of the black pieces on my 89 and I even use it as a touch up on my carpets before car shows. I think ryddler is thinking about adding a "Restoration" forumn on this site for stuff like this... I cant wait...I'll finally be able to be worth half a sh#!t here Thanks again! J
