I donít seem to be able to find the correct size tires for shp wheels, other than track tires.   What is everyone doing as far as different sizes?

SHP Stock tire size is 225/50/16 front and 245/45/16 rear.

I am running a 245/50/16 in the rear currently with no fitment issues.  My speedometer is off slightly, but there are more option available in that size.

225/50/16 up front.

Same here. 45s are really hard to find. Much more selection with 50s. I'm running the Coopers.

It looks like the 50 vs the 45 means 1/2 taller... and a 3% speed differential.   I can live with that, thanks for the input

I couldn't find any name brand that wasn't a summer only tire. I just went with the 50's bfgoodrich g-force comp 2  no complaints. I might get a set of summer only next time since I have not drivin the car this winter all but a couple times around the neighborhood just to keep things moving.

Just get whatever size you want.  Go wide.  You don't have to keep the factory size.

255-275 width opens up a lot of sizes for you

Hmmm.  Been a while since I've bought 16".   I ran 255/50/16 on rear and 235/45/16 on front I think.  And that was BFGoodrich SportComp2

I remember having a few options to choose from.

No fitment issues with the 255's out back? Always loved the look of Porsche 993's that ran these on the rear and 205/55/16 up front like some of our cars. I think a SQ would look real mean with (f)205/55/16 and ®255/50/16 setup, as long as there are no fitment issues.

When I bought my car it had the 245 50 series out back, I wanted the 45's as its a shorter sidewall and stock size. The only non-race tire I found was the Toyo Proxes T1R series and thats what I got. It's still a summer tire but at least it has some tread in case I get caught in a surprise rain shower.

I haven't looked recently, but has anyone checked 235's to see if there are more 45 height option tires there?  I agree with what kepico said above - I'm running 245/50's and I think they look too tall/chunky.  I think I'd prefer to go with the stock 45 height.  I hate to narrower, but if 235's have more options than 245's that might be a possibility.

Unfortunately, only driving my car 1000 miles a year it'll take me till I'm dead to wear out my current tires.
