So I got a 24"X12"x1/4" sheet of acrylic and cut its shape to the instrument cluster. I have it marked up (not in this picture) for the holes for the connectors and mount holes.

Got the stock ECU harness out today (in one piece). As well I pulled the fan relays as I will be installing a different setup. I also got the harness ready for the battery relocation and the installation of the bus bars.

The MS2 harness pulled through the firewall.

Relays removed. New steering gear installed and new brake booster. I have a new master cylinder too. As well we got the front steel braided lines in.

The old harness coming out.

So dash is pretty much ready to mount! Just need to get the holes ready for the turn signals, high beam, alternator light, and fuel low switch light.

Ran out of time. I was working the car the whole day Sunday. We put the trans up 4 different times marking out where it hit. So far we have more sheetmetal to move in a few places. It looks good for it not needing to be cut to fit. I'll post some pictures after I get to work today.

So here are some pictures. Bills motor mounts moved my motor forward about an inch.

The area on the passenger side front of the tunnel required some massaging of about an inch and a half in (this is soft sheetmetal so easy) to accommodate room for the sensor and tabs.  (Looks like 3 fingers sticking off the side).

The area between the stock trans mount is equal to where the tailhousing mounts to the body of the transmission. The area needs to be taken out on both sides. It's pretty stout but it can move about an inch in. This needs to be done on both sides the entire height of the tunnel.

Given that I have a T-56 mag trans also anyone who is getting a TR-6060 will have to raise the top of the tunnel as well. I ran out of time and do not know exactly how much yet. So far no cutting is required.

My transmission has extra tabs that the TR-6060 and LT1 T-56 do not have. I will need to get the useless tabs taken off.

The shifter lines up to exactly 2.5 inches behind the front of the opening.

Thanks for the pics. I might go this route if I break my transmission.

I have broken a few transmissions. It's not fun. I would have liked to go this route, and if I ever get another SQ, I would. Probably first mod.

Alright folks I know I went off the radar. Work sidelined this project for a while. The car is being moved tomorrow to a shop to get a few brackets, exhaust and down pipe, and intercooler piping made. Iíll grt some pictures up of the turbo and intake mounted. I hope to be finished in the next month or so since I have time again.

So I have a fun update for you all. I got my new wiring in (replaced those pesky fuseable links) and added a bus bar (500a). Battery had been relocated to the back with 1 gauge wiring. The second box is additional relays that are to run the fans, coil packs, O2 controller, and an extra for a boost controller later. The first picture is the AIM MXS Strada powered up.

I will be reassembling the car now. So expect some more updates next week.

So today was focused on finishing up wiring getting the ECU and dash wires cleaned up. Next week the engine is going back together!

The LED lights on the left are for turn signal, charging light, high beams, ebrake, and the check engine light is the low level switch in the gas tank.

I believe the engine bay is self explanatory.
