had some time so i jumped back on my blower manifold setup. mounted down low and at an anlge for added clearence from steering box. i wanted it down low so i can mount the injectors aimed at the back side of the valve. got the flanges in position now just gotta make the runners to a plenum and water neck fittings...basically alot more work lol

i have an aluminum radiator with a thin fan shroud, alot of room. plus this is for me...if anything is in the way, cut it out and move it...powerplant comes first lol. if i everdid decide to make one for other people it would have to clear everything. ive gotta go get the piping for the runners. the blower is from a ford thunder coupe, rear inlet, pretty efficient for its size. That was my theory....lol

i think what he was asking is how are you gona take the blower out of the air inlet once the turbo gets going real good,, the super charger at that time is just in the way and will restrict the turbo's boost ability if plum'd thru the SS

No, what it does at turbo spool is compress air into the vanes of the supercharger making the blower put out more boost. Its progressive, I want the blower to make 10-12psi on its own and then the turbo will jump it to 25psi

i get all that but you can't blow 25#'s thru the SS ,, the charge air is gona be hotter then a firecracker @12 lb let alone 25lbs

The blower doesn't spin any faster at 25psi than it does at 10, its just a denser air charge going into the rotors when the turbo spools. And actually the supercharger doesn't have spin that fast to make 10psi on this 2.6 when it makes 10psi on the 4.6 roush. I've installed twin turbo's feeding the stock blower on some gt500's and at only 15psi they made 760@ the tire and at 26psi one made 1005hp to the tire. And these were stock engines. I've been there and done it...it works good lol Edited by S.M.B

changed the position of the blower to allow less bends and better aim on fuel injector spray at the valve. plus this allows the throttle body to have a nice 180 degree bend from the back of the blower to the throttle body and sit above the valve cover

Looks great. Will you be using methanol/water injection in the intake plenum to cool the intake charge or...?

Looks pretty bad a$$, but it won't fit under the hood like that. Do you have plans to put this in a car soon? I'm real curious to see how it performs.

Any plans for an aftercooler? should be worth the extra work. Since you are building from scratch, shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

yeah this is goin in my red car, wont need an aftercooler cuz its gonna be an e-85 engine. i originally wanted it to fit under the hood so i could go for the sleeper look and have it painted the same as my daily starion. but when i had it mounted down low there was just too much work i would of had to do to clearence everything. plus it looks cooler up top anyway lol Edited by S.M.B

Yah, totally make the blower and turbo stick through a cut-out hood. that will boggle peoples minds  The 'blower though the hood' and 'turbo though the hood' has been done, but I've never seen both.

actually the only thing thats gonna stick out of the hood is the blower pulley, the turbo and everything else will fit under the stock flathood. the turbo sits 3/4" below the stock hood with a 70a/r housing. ive had this on my red car before.
