Well as some of you know, I just treated myself to an upgrade recently (http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=147868&st=0), and Angie and I picked it up this past Monday. Here's a few shots as we're topping off...

I bet. My buddy has an older R1 with little more than pipes and that thing is nasty fast. I'm sure that CBR keeps you in check

P.S. Don't die. We need your parts :-)

It's an amazing machine. I figured it was going to beat the snot out of me, but I've been very surprised. It's only twenty pounds heavier than my 600 but actually feels lighter...it's very flickable and a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. The seating position is a little more aggressive than the 600, mainly due to the foot peg placement. The ride quality is terrific, and it's very smooth. Broke her in by riding it back to Houston from Dallas, which as anyone can tell you is a very long ride on a sportbike, but I was no worse for wear the day after. And the power is just jaw-dropping...the power band is so wide/long...it's going to be a bit before I'm solid on shift points and all that. Took her up to 154mph on a good clean stretch at one point...smooth as silk. Didn't have the nuts to go any faster without becoming more comfortable and familiar with it!

love the exhaust! still so cool looking.

like to hear it idling,

I just noticed that you're in Manassas. My dad went was born in Leesburg, and his parents came up in Alexandria. I was born in Richmond and went to college in Lexington. Small world.
