  1. I'm gonna have to jump on that. But also my turbo is building little to no boost now. I have checked for leaks and don't have any. When i am at WOT and begins to boost it will stop at like 3psi ad I will hear a screeching/whining sound and not sure what it is. I'm running out of options on this thing I am going to end up just wiping my hands with it if it keeps doing this. I am going to take injectors off and see if I can clean them out also.
  2. As title says my quest has yet another problem lol. Ive been at NTC for a month get back ti Colorado and its colder now and my car hates it. When its cold and you start it it fires right up but idles rough as heck and smells like fuel real bad. Also when you rev it the thing sputters pretty bad and driving it makes hardly any power. But once its warm it runs and idles great and has power. But at WOT it doesn't have as much power as 3/4 throttle which is also confusing me. I'm thinking maybe an injector is going out. But I also completely forgot which is my primary and which is my secondary. Is the primary the injector on top or is that the secondary? If its my secondary it is the injector keeping the.car running at all.as the back injector if its the primary will not even start the car no matter which pigtails is put on it. Which both of those are brand new. If it is the injectors can someone recommend a good place for some bigger ones so I can get ready for bigger turbo. Thanks for any help in advance guys.
  3. A buddy back home is going to give me a 20g for free (used to be mine anyway). He also will b hooking me up with a evo3 16g. But I'm not sure I wanna put em on with stock injectors even at low boost. So I'm trying to find done cheap but good injectors for a temporary setup maybe a 750cc and a 1200cc should do. With a wally255.
  4. Im probably going hx35 with bep housing and tial mvs wastegate. First I am going to go fuel pump, wideband, boost gauge, etc. Then the turbo.
  5. Yea the housings are a hard find. I'm hoping one or 2 will pop up on dsmtuners or here soon.
  6. How tall of an adapter will I need to run an hy35 from a stock manifold? I was on eBay and found some 2 1/2 and some 1/2 ones. I'm going to do the hx35/hy35 route.
  7. Well that settles that lol had anyone used a HE351VE before I found one local for $270 but don't know how they perform. Most ive used was a hx35 on a 1g dsm. And if the hx35 is better would a bep housing work for the quest? I have a custom Dowpipe that should fit the quest like a glove with a tial mvs wastegate.
  8. Hmmm sounds like a shop that's not real friendly. I might build my kit like you guys stated. But what would be a good turbo for around 300rwhp and have room to grow some? I was thinking about a 17c or even just jumping into a 20g or bigger just use th money I save from not using tep to get bigger injectors and start saving for mpi. I'd like to have this g54 into the mid 12s before the end of next year. I was close in my old quest but it had built block, cam, and a 16g head was pretty much stock. Im trying to stay out of the block for as long as possible but will eventually build it to. Not going to do a swap in this baby. Might do a turbo 5.0 swap in another one one day.
  9. So I am going to get a new turbo kit for my quest along with a cam, built head, clutch and flywheel. But my question is does anyone have the T3/T4 turbo kit from TEP? If so how is the performance and reliability of it? And how is the fitment.
  10. One clip was already new one was green for about 5 inches got it on idles great and goes past 3k rpm when secondary kicks in and keeps going. But when im just driving normal it spits and sputters then starts normal driving after a few seconds or if i lift off throttle and slam my foot down. Idk what this could be maybe my primary injector is clogged/bad or both. What is the best place to get some bigger replacements?
  11. After the switch it runs wayyyy better. Doesn't die anymore, or run herky jerky til about 3200 rpm so my secondary injector is more or less shot. It my pig tail is bad on it which is what I think.
  12. Ok so problem got so bad that at wouldn't idle wen cold. Then it hit me check the injector clips. I checked them switched the primary and secondary clips and it idles 1000% better. I got car to normal operating temp now and going to start it when its warm and see if it still dies. Im thinking the old owner got clips mixed up whn he/she put a new clip on one of the clips and that caused my problem I hope anyways. Ill update as soon as I let car sit for a while.
  13. Not reading vaccume but is reading boost somewhat ok. 10psi but still should be higher I belive.
  14. Ok so I installed a boost gauge in my dash and I beloved its messed up. It is not showing vaccume and only showing 5psi of boost. I have a MBC installed and have it turned all the way up and still no more than 5psi sometimes it will spike at 7psi. The turbo is a stock 12A. Im not sure if i installed right or not. But there is no noticeable power change like I had on old quest I had. Someone help please.
