Turbo Cary Posted March 9, 2015 Report Share Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) I know people use the truck steering box to convert to manual steering but have to modify the column to make it work. Is it possible to just take the quest gear box apart, remove the shaft that connects to the column and install it in a manual gear box? That way the column doesnt need to be modified. Or are the internals completly different? Here is an exploded view of a MM gearbox. BuGG Posted March 9, 2015 Report Share Posted March 9, 2015 You dont have to modify the steering column you can modify the coupler. Also there is a longer steering shaft that fits right in the conquest column so no modification is needed. This is something PQ used to sell. Im not sure what vehicle he got the shaft from.
