G54Bstore
Hey guys looking for ideas that might fix my prob on my sons / mine 94 Nissan altima 2.4 four cylinder. When you are going down the highway it shifts into overdrive until you let off the gas pedal to cruise at your desired speed. Then it drops back into 3 rd gear. If you press the gas a little it'll go back into overdrive. It's like doing the opposite of what's auto trans should do.Idk just wondering if anyone's ever had this issue is a car before.I googled the prob and some things came up about a trans temp sensor possibly. If no ones knows I can understand since we are sq gurus lolJust figured I'd throw it out there anyway because there's not many Altima enthusiasts out there. Turbo Cary
the temp sensor could cause an issue if it is bad. have you checked the fluid level? How about the shift solenoids/valve body? If you can get the specs from a repair manual I would check those. Also test your TPS. If the tps signal to the ecu is acting up it can throw off shifting.
