Coke
I am wondering who out there has bought a Mookeeh '83 hood. I'm curious how well the fitment is, if it's got high/low spots, ect. I've had bad luck in the past with fake 83 hoods so I'm curious how well his hoods fit. Thanks! If you can take pics, I'd love to see.

Coke
I did not because I didn't know they were mookeeh hoods. How well do they fit? Take pics for me???
boostdquest89
I can't get on my photobucket at work to post pics......sorry. They do have minor fitment issues "out of the box" tho. I'm sure if ya look around you can find pics of both our cars with the hoods closed. If not, I'll try to text ya one.Chad-
BC_99
I bought one years ago and sold it because I didnt care for the way it fit and I found an OEM 83 hood to use instead. They can be made to fit and look nice, but it requires a little time and finish work. BC_99
NikoFab
I looked into these myself and asked around. I heard the same...some minor fitment issues that you have to address. Also, the front scoop and side vents are blocked...so to get them to look right, you have to do some pretty accurate cutting, filing, etc.
19cturbo
They seem to be arched from front to back, for example, if your looking at it from the side you can see it doesnt follow the fender line very well.. chads seemed to be a little more arched than mine but you can tell they both do the same thing.. BC_99
hmm, I didnt even get that far with fitting mine to notice that. Mine didnt fit right between the headlights and fenders. something was way outta square with the hood, It fit the same way on all 3 cars we tried it on. jszucs
Even buying high end production hoods for other cars say a VIS one. They never fit right. There is always tweeking, adjusting, moving this or that fender, or trim peice.
tg118
I have had the Carbon fiber hood for years, i was one of the first to buy it years ago( maybe the fit is better now)... it fits good on the driver side, , but the passenger side is raised up a bit, i used to hate the fit,but i figure its custom for the car, gots to live with it
Fuze
I have the carbon one, it fits great but after a while the passenger side raised slightly in the middle, could be due to the pressure between the hinge and hook combined with the heat. I didn't run a heat shield for a while, lol. But the hood looks awesome and still fits ecellent, only a trained eye will find fault.
