  1. Did you by chance used to live in Minden/ G'ville? There was a yellow one broken down on 395 and i always wondered where it went. Sent you a pm as well.

  3. well this only occurs after the car has been been driven a far distance. driving it around town or even a 15 mile drive on the highway doesnt trigger it. it only surfaces after like a 30 mile drive on the highway. if it were injectors i would think that the problem would surface around town or even on a 15 mile drive.
  4. So i uncovered a new problem with my car yesterday. Problem only manifests itself after a longer drive, and a quick stop (i.e. running in to get a soda). It has a prolonged crank when this occurs and will start up when i give a little throttle. No other problems. Injectors are not leaking and there is no smoke on startup. ideas? its a minor annoyance but id like to fix it.

  6. taking a set of injectors up just in case. my car runs without maf and that made no difference..
  7. So i was headed out of town , and the starion just died. Was on the highway doing 60 mph in 5th and the car had a hiccup or miss. Just when i got done saying to myself that was weird, the car died. I tried popping the clutch as i coasted to the side of the road but nothing, no sputter or anything. Got out and checked for spark and had good spark. Added a gallon of gas just in case the the fuel gauge crapped out as i only had an 1/8 tank of gas left. The car has run beautifully except for a turbo that decides when and when not to boost, and an idle thats a little rough(could be normal this is the only starion i've been in). The car is about 15 miles away so i need a clear game plan of what i need to check and what it might be before i head back. Ideas?
  8. Okay driving the starion around with no boost sucks. I need a turbo that will bolt on and go. Stock or bigger it doesn't matter to me. Let me know what you have. thanks!!
  9. okay im going to assume something is screwy with the turbo. i cant find any info on putting a 14b on it. that is the next step up right?
  10. okay to clarify i know the turbo is supposed to spin freely and it does, wastegate is closed. i have an aftermarket boost gauge so i know there is no boost.the car produces no boost at all not 1 p.s.i. the car runs and drives fine just slow since theres not any boost. the car had good boost (10 p.s.i.) and then there wasnt boost. ive checked all the piping short of using the smoke machine. I guess i can try dropping the downpipe and check the exhuast side of things. anything else it could be ?
  11. yes the turbo spins free, yes the actuator arm is attached and wastegate arm is in the closed position. as for taking it apart i simply cannot do that right now. i need a car to drive and this is all that still moves under its own power.
  12. so i finally had confidence enough to register the starion and actually use it. i made it through a 1/2 tank of gas before i had an issue. ive got no boost anymore !!! the cold side spins free, but seems to only move under its own power by the suction of the engine. do the stock turbos have a small shaft that might of snapped? im only concerned becouse i have to drive it right now until the head comes back for the talon and i dont want it to spit out the shaft and start leaving me with a smoke trail!! thanks in advance!
