  1. That was me Fanta. I never joined the armed forces either, unless you are talking about school. I do miss my Zaxby's though. I have 3 SQs, but I live nowhere near the base, so I know that's not me. In fact, I'm over the mountain and about an hour away from there. I do have a red ‘89 TSi, as well as a green (repainted) ‘88 TSi and a white ‘87 Technica. I can tell you eeaston is still alive and well. He doesn't ever drive his SQ anymore though. It just sits in his driveway while he debates whether or not to sell the car. Sounds a lot like myself. He has a couple of other projects he has been working on, so he spends all his time on those.
  2. I just went and dug through the car again to double check, and it appears that everything is there except for the two rear cables. I guess I'll go and plop down the cash to replace those. Other than that, I don't know what it needs before it'll pass inspection. One way to find out! Thanks again topher87.
  3. So, my car needs a hand brake to pass safety inspection (yes, the ENTIRE cable system is missing) and I was looking online and I see there is a right, left, and front cable available to purchase. I was wondering and thinking; do I need to buy all three of these cables? Any advice would be great here. Thanks!
  4. I've you have the time to waste, check out the video of "The Ramp" in Oberpfaffelbachen, Barvaria. http://www.rampenfest.com This is a hilarious piece of viral advertising. It's about the literal "launch" of the 1 series BMW from Germany to America. It's just over half an hour long, documentary style. Gotta love it!
  5. Those rides up there are made by a couple different companies based here in my home town. I don't have the balls to ride those things though!
  6. Very nice picture. Maybe I should try the same effect, only in photoshop.
  7. Wow, look what happens when you don't visit the site in 6 months. Plenty o' replies! The paint looks crisp, but is far from it. The paint on the car is anything but nice when you see it in person. There is a patch of bondo that is cracking on the passenger side. Sam is correct, it is a redo on the paint, but not by me. BTW, the car is still missing the airdam. I need to go back in and digitally alter these images and fix the cracks and chips in the airdam. Maybe watch for those. Jimmy, the white stuff is what a headache looks like in physical form. It'll soon be gone and then the car can be rolled out of hiding.
  8. They only work with at&t to begin with. I'm pretty sure you can change the number on an iPhone. Apple isn't stupid. That's what SIM cards are for. It may not be easy, but it's got to be possible.
  9. Sure looks like spam to me. 2 posts, one about iPhones, the other about your iPhone post not being spam. Not to be attacking you, but you seem a bit suspicious right about now.
  10. I may have to make one of these with the $50 ball head. That way it'll hold a heavier camera (or at least have the added strength). Then again, what would I use it for?
  11. Just FYI, a ball head would probably work well here and have easier range of motion. They are smaller, so they take up less space on the suction cup mount. The only bad thing is, they can get pricey (most expensive one I've seen is $867 for just the head)! If you have a lighter camera (small digital or SLR still camera) something like this would work awesome. It's rated at 5 lbs. as opposed to the 6.5 lbs. of the head you are using. It's also only $10.95. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/items/221096.jpg This one is rated at 22 lbs. and is $49.95. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/items/347653.jpg
  12. Did anybody else read this? Isn't that illegal to work that many hours? Anyways, very nice build! Depends on what state you live in I think. I once worked from 8am to 4am the next morning. 20 hours straight on the clock.
  13. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp. I'll lay it out simple for ya. You see, there are all these little round dots next to each name. You select the one with the name tman1112000 next to it and it and submit your vote for him. Looks like so far 9 others have done so. Not everyone is a fan of the Big Mac or 1/4 pounder you know. I'm perfectly content eating a $0.99 cheeseburger. Same goes for this here. Yes the other cars look really nice, but it's great to see such a stock looking bay so clean. It gives me the assurance that I too can have a clean, almost stock engine bay. Hey Thanks, a**. My question was obviously not how he has the votes... people voted for him. My question was why people voted for him. I don't really understand why you had to answer my question with jackass sarcasm. But that's ok, I now know why he has the votes: popularity. Probably the only way to make any of the poles fair is to put the pics of the engine bays on another site where no one knows the people involved... such as dsmtuners or some other random car site. I guess I do owe an apology. I'm sorry I was laying down the sarcasm so thick. My humor is obviously at a different level than yours, and what I thought was a harmless joke you clearly saw as a personal attack. Again, sorry I'm was such a "jerk."
