If you have any old junk couplers lying around, I would like to purchase them from you. Im thinking around $15 each or so.... Be reasonable with your asking price and I will send you money for your old worn out steering couplers. Im hoping to use this old car Im parting out to make a jig to make and sell nice new U-Joint/couplers to replace the old worn out steering couplers that everyone is hoping to replace. However I need some old couplers, for parts, to get started. LMK.

What about if I send you one for free as credit towards one of your nifty new setups? Sound like a good idea?

I will gladly ship you my coupler for free if your willing to sell me one of your new designs at a discount price.

We may be able to work something like that out.

You can put me on the list for a replacement when you get some built, I cant stand the steering wheel play but I cant fab anything.

I'll let you know.

I am going to talk with a friend that owns a performance parts store tomorrow and show him what I'm working on to see if he can connect me with the right people to have a direct replacement made or at least get as close as possible. I like the idea of what was done in the pinned thread in the steering and suspension FAQ section, but would like to try to find a more suitable DIYer friendly option. I'll keep you guys posted and will probably start a GP thread when I nail it down.

Bump for wanting junk couplers.

I hope you are prepared for the demand of your new product, early retirement is even more attainable!!

Lol, thanks. I'm not hoping to retire off of this community, I just hope to help keep it afloat. The meeting went well, it looks like a 50/50 chance of getting a direct replacement u-joint made available. Trust me when I say, if it's possible, I WILL make it available to the community for a reasonable price and as easily adaptable to our cars as possible.

I did dis-assemble an old junk steering box, a steering column, and had a decent coupler, in order to get the input shaft spline size and count and coupler length and as close as possible to the column output dimensions as I could for my contact to work with.

Worst case, I can duplicate and slightly modify the aforementioned thread results for a closer bolt in application.

Sending you a super clean one , the peeps need this item duplicated

I really appreciate the offer. I have a couple of good ones for measuring and such. I will be looking for junk ones to cut up if the direcdirect replacement doesn't pan out. Basically I will be doing something similar to the write-up in the steering faq section.
