MacTR Posted October 2, 2010 Report Share Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) *PRICE DROP* I am selling my 88 Conquest. $750 CASH takes it I'm selling this Conquest, I have too many projects It runs good but smokes. I believe it's valve guide seals because this thing has been sitting and I had to replace all the rubber under the hood (all hard as plastic lol). Turbo is a known good turbo from a friends car, intake tract is free of oil. I checked crankcase pressure where it might be forcing oil thru the PCV system, but again no oil there either. I dont think it would run this strong if the rings were bad, but I'm only speculating because I've not taken the engine apart yet (obviously).The head/head gasket should be in good shape, no signs of oil/water mixing and no overheating. It runs and drives, pulls hard and makes easy 7-8psi with stock internal wastegate.The struts need to be replaced. Comes with a Complete Black Interior not installed including manual seatbelts to get rid of those annying auto belts, I have all of the parts to replace the front and a better hood too.
