  1. My buddy made me a copy of the P90X karate disc, and its a b!tch. He's a former Marine and he says the whole workout kicks his tail. Ill get there slowly, but the whole P90X or Insanity workouts intimidate the hell outta me
  2. Wow, dude. I dont know whether youre being cynical to be mean or because you honestly want to help thru tough love. I know very well what to do to weigh less. I also said that my joints hurt and I wanted to try something to jump start my weight loss. My reasoning about asking a group of guys in a car forum is exactly that, to ask a group of guys what worked for them. Thats it. You think I want to weigh this much? Do you think its a concious choice? I make no excuses about how I got so overweight. But calling me so lazy that I cant walk or that I dont know how I got so fat is making a huge assumption. Its not easy to eat while at work. I dont get to leave on breaks or lunches and I have to sit at the radio console and dispatch for 12 hours a day. I cant exersice at work or do anything "distracting" that isnt at the computer because of something called liability. Not only can I lose my job but I can be sued civilly if something were to happen if I was working out at work. I know its all easier said than done but come on, you know nothing of my schedule, my stresses, my routine at home, but you want to make snide remarks about my weight loss? Thanks. To all you that have answered with suggestions and encouragement I appreciate it. Oh BTW, I had a cup of corn flakes for breakfast, a salad and sandwich for lunch, and just ate a yogurt an hour ago. I brought a bag of salad and an gallon of water for later.
  3. Dude, you hit the nail on the head. Been doing overnights now for 3 years since I started in a new village. Before that I did 8 years worth of afternoons at a super-busy town that kept my stress levels up. Im not a stress-eater but due to the nature of the job , its not uncommon to go a full shift with out eating. Id have huge meals once or twice a day , but my metabolism is non-existent. I know for a fact that I have sleep apnea. And my snoring is only getting worse. Which means Im not resting when I sleep. Realistically I'd like to drop a quick 15-20 lbs before really hitting the gym hard. One of the guys at work says I can probably lose that in water weight fairly quickly but again its my knees that keep me from really pushing it and working up a good sweat. I can lift weights no problem but Id like to get the cardio in to really shed weight. Helterbot, where do you get that IsaTest? It sounds like I might try it to get that boost I need
  4. Wow guys! Keen em coming. This is all good stuff. Its incredible how much weight I put on from lack of exercise and eating terribly. I went from 160ish at 19 to 317 as of two weeks ago. I have literally become twice the man I used to be. Eating is such a mess for me. I eat two huge meals a day and almost no snacking. I cut out most regular sodas last year when my wife was diagnosed with diabetes and had to drink diet soda and water. I work overnights as a police-fire-ems dispatcher at 12hr shifts so my sleeping habits are worse than my eating habits. Its just become a snowball of stuff combined with work related stress that culminated in a lot of weight gain. Im really glad that a lot of you guys have/are going thru the same and it gives me inspiration to do better
  5. I had a bit of a scare a few weeks back and thought I was having a grabber. Went to the doctor and realized I finally hit my all time low(high?) and ABSOLUTELY need to lose weight. I just turned 35 last week and I'm way too young to feel like Ive been feeling the last few years. My knees cant take the daily abuse and I cant let my wife and kids down if something serious were to happen to me. I joined a gym but I cant do a lot of strenuous workouts because of the pain in my knees. Does anyone have any tips for dropping a few quick pounds so I can feel more comfortable working out? I feel if I can lose some weight, then the pain in my knees will go away and I can maximize my workouts. Thanks guys.
  6. Also received some just about free parts for only shipping. Excellent packaging to ensure all was protected well. Thank you Jeff. Phenomenal asset to the SQ community
  7. I dont drink coffee but i need a Coke, Mt Dew or an energy drink once a night, thanks to my graveyard shift hours.
  8. Anyone got an extra drivers side window trim to bring along?
  9. Not in the Conquest, but in the Odyssey with all the kids...almost have to. Ill usually find an half-eaten sandwich, cookies, spilled juice/soda/milk at least once a week but the ones I dread are the fruit that roll under the seats and get wedged somewhere, those are fun to track down after you start smelling it. I buy those big disk-looking things from Walmart that look like an over-sized urinal cake in Fresh Linen scent and they work really well in the van.
  10. This coming from the guy that got a S-Class Benz for paintwork and some baseball cards...lol
  11. My first bike is a 93 Kawasaki Ex500 and I still own it. I learned to ride on ATVs and dirt bikes and the EX was my first street bike. Very forgiving for the new user and still enough oomph in the motor to get you in trouble. The Triumph you were looking at, was that the TT 600? If so I was looking to upgrade into one a couple of years ago. Beware the early 2000-01 model years. The ECU fuel/spark mapping was very buggy and had alot of owner complaints. The 02-03 years have revised mapping. The handling was pretty good for the day from what I remember and it was only a poor seller because the Jap bikes had "better" styling.
  12. Need to start replacing the burned parts of my car as I cant stand to see it just sit there. All parts are for the drivers side: I need the outside door handle, spoiler section, black outside window trim, and mirror. If it can be helped I would prefer the mirror and spoiler in r04 red but Im not too picky as Im going to have to repaint most of that side anyway. Thanks!
  13. What time is this shindig? I would like to swing by with my "toasted" car
  14. Just recieved a pair of front struts from Johnny. Great guy and got a hell of a deal.
