That's a good chunk of change for old retired farts. Could we do a group purchase & have a 'club' Car?  Pass it around month to month?

I asked on a fb group but can you do a dohc swap on those? And are they wideblock? Seen this motor and was curious.

Just a heads up, if any club members are interested in this, I live about 15 minutes from their shop, and would be happy to take a look at it and give you my opinion, take photos etc. Also, I'm hoping someone takes me up on this so I can check it out and take it for a spin :)

@cheesey I'm not sure on the galant if it would work, but the Starion one uses the same KM132.  The DOHC swap is a possibility.  I want to know if the G63B starion has oil squirters.  Never got an answer on that.  Would sway me to import one rather than sourcing one from a truck.

The non turbo blocks have no oil squirters.  Oil galley need drilled and tapped for them.

@importwarrior Is ita turbo g63b from the factory out of Japan or Australia

@creakyjoints The engine is turbo, but needs a head swap for dohc.  Came like that from the factory. Haven't found any information supporting if it has them or not.  I suppose it wouldn't be to hard to incorporate them either way.

The Dash engine is a good thing with the 3rd valve coming in nicely at highway speeds!
However, the electrics on the efi play up on these...
I've imported 2 of these to AUS and owned the very same version for sale.
It's worth noting, the model offered usually doesn't come with the LSD and has a small TD05 12a
with a 6cm2 (not 8cm2) exhaust housing...
The bottom end uses twin cam pistons, so a DOHC can be applied to work. However,
the inlet, outlet & all twin cam pulleys, pumps, brackets and water outlets need to be used etc
In other words, an involved process! :(
