with stabbiing the distributor, that lttle mark he is talking about you want to kind of turn it so that the notch will be straight up . but first, take your distributor and find where it says number one, mark it pull the cap, stab the distributor, bolt it down. then make sure your rotor is turned to that little mark you made on your base and then tighten the cap back on and you should be good from there

i kinda had the same problem. i changed my oil pump but i also once the block was exposed i noticed that one balance shaft was seized. so it wasn't allowing my oil pressure to stabilize. i would check those. its a lotta work to get to it but its not hard either

i have an 88 quest auto. im having problems while im driving with over drive kicking on and off. a buddy of mine that has quests since he was 18 says that it is this t pronged sensor located by the tbi. there are two, one located on very near the thermostat housing which points outwards towards the driver side fender, the other one stands straight up towards the hood slightly next to and under the throttle body. if any one has info on where i can get this part, or how i can fix it please replie to tis topic thank you for you alls time!
