Its a 87 tsi. i just put new ujoints in it hoping that the humming would go away but after a week or so it got worse, and now i all so smell rearend oil. thanks for the help :character0269:

well i think iam smelling rearend oil. it is also humming when i excellerate. i changed the oil in it last month. can i use one from a different car. thanks :character0269:

I got them from napa thanks for the tips. but i still dont under stand how to chang them out. and the thing that that comes off the tranny might be ash.

Fun fun well i had to take the the driveshaft off to tow it and i didnt mark it. the yoke thats the thing thats on the tarany right? well i think thats tost 2. anyone know what to do about that and where to get one. thank you guys so much for all the help :character0269:
