  2. So I bought a NJV head a while back and set it aside for the future, and I was looking at it the other day and noticed the front cam tower cap had a hairline crack in it. It's not very big, but still visible. Is the head junk now or can I swap a new cap over and have it line bored? Thanks guys.
  3. M274 "Mule". When I was 12, haha. It's a 2 cylinder horizontally opposed air cooled motor with a 3 speed transmission. My parents have one, and are part of the Military Vehicle Collectors of California (MVCC). As far as cars go, it was my dad's 1993 Mazda Miata. http://olive-drab.com/images/id_m274_full.jpg
  4. I've always been a fan of angular cars and hatchbacks. When I was little I wanted a Nissan Pulsar NX because I liked the way it looked. Enter adulthood, my love for wagons was stronger and I bought my Magnum and was stuck with Hemi fever for a long time. Right around March of 2011 I talked to a friend I hadn't seen for about a year and he told me about the Dodge Conquest he had, and how much fun it was for the 2 weeks he owned it before he blew the turbo. I had never heard of a Conquest before, so I immediately looked it up and said OMGWTFBBQ! I found this forum and Starquest X-I and read tech articles for hours, so my obsession grew. About a month later I convinced my wife we needed a gas saver (heh heh) and I found a silver 86 on Craigslist for $1,500. I bought it, but it had rust and after 2 years I had to make room and was forced to part it. It was only about a year before I felt the need again, so I went out and bought the black 88 I have now. No ragrets
  5. You guys really like to plan meets when I'm doing my time with the guard. Lol. I just got my quest running again on Thursday.
  6. Son of a gun, this is smack dab in the middle of annual training
  7. The centerlink balljoints seemed fine, and I replaced the bushings on the idler arm, so it's good 'n stiff
  8. That is going to be sweet! What are your plans for the intake? Stock beer barrel?
  9. Hey y'all, just wanted to get your opinions on something. Ever since I bought my car it's had an issue where during a right hand turn the steering will jerk to the right sharply, as if I had jerked the steering wheel rather hard. It's manageable but annoying. Do you think this is due to the steering coupler or the gear box? I replaced all of my tie rods and it had no effect. I'm inclined to think it's the coupler, and I have a spare, I just need to take the time to swap it. Could it be suspension related? Thanks guys.
  10. I love RCR's videos. Don't think of it as a review, just entertainment. Slightly informative, sometimes offensive, and always off the wall crazy.
  11. Are you MPI'd already or is the manifold still in the works?
  12. http://www.jeeps-offroad.com/showthread.php?t=4740 All the tranny swap info you'll ever need. Well, mostly.
  13. Bananas certainly are rare, but frame rail rust, rear fender rust, bad paint, no motor and missing one of the SHP wheels? I hope his reserve price isn't more than $500....
