Preludedude
Buying a fuel pressure gauge and most come with a 1/8" NPT male fitting... What adapter do I need to buy to make this fit in the hole on the TB tophat? Do I need a 90 degree elbow also so it fits better and I could angle it better? techboy
I'm pretty sure you have to tap out the top hat yourself. I haven't done it myself, but I'm pretty sure I've read that you can tap out to 1/8 NPT and then just thread a pressure gauge in, or if you want it in a slightly different position you put in a 1/8 elbow like you said. Hopefully someone can verify, but I'm pretty sure I've read up on this before.

Preludedude
So it's verified the tophat is a 1/8" bspt. The same as the oil prime plug on block?
techboy
I'm about 99% it is. I have a spare TB out in the garage, and I think it has the top hat on it, if you want I can see if one of my 1/8" bspt adapters threads in.
TexasQuest
Yes it is British pipe thread. My setup is an Autometer thread adapter #2269 & an Earl's elbow #991401ERL

Preludedude
Yes it is British pipe thread. My setup is an Autometer thread adapter #2269 & an Earl's elbow #991401ERL Took this advice. Ordered. And nope. Fuel thread is way bigger. I'll post pics later tonight. The tophat is way bigger than oil prime plug. Different threads also.... How TexasQuest used a Autometer 2269 adapter to fit his tophat..I DONT KNOW...2269 adapter is a 1/8 BSPT to 1/8 NPT...It fits the oil prime plug perfect for use with a oil pressure gauge..Thats what I have on mine.. As for the fuel tophat thread...ITS THE RIGHT SCREW IN THE PICTURES...OIL PRIME PLUG IS LEFT SCREW... I have to take this screw somewhere to see what thread it is, so I can find an adapter that is 1/8" npt to whatever it is... http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd461/Preludedude1/photo%2011.jpghttp://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd461/Preludedude1/photo%2021.jpghttp://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd461/Preludedude1/photo%203.jpg Edited September 15, 2015 by Preludedude
TexasQuest
Crap I haven't tried installing mine yet....sorry for the mis-information. Guess thats what I get for assuming they were the same thread size.
