joey_crandall
Just cut the line that goes to the abs pump and use a string to eyeball the bends you need and do a double flare. And use a bolt to plug the vacuum line http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee495/joey_crandall/69216CB4-519C-4D3E-951F-A712775E7566-10043-00000E8EFABDF9B3.jpg http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee495/joey_crandall/42DBF522-4E27-4A5A-BF6A-4CDE3CB6FE61-10043-00000E8EC41B507A.jpg

CaliConquestAlex
trans pan uses an o-ring style seal... it's not a generic shape, or a circle everywhere i've tried to order it from says its out of stock / discontinued - anyone have a lead on a replacement? You can just use high temp RTV or Anaerobic RTV. I did mine about 8 months ago and it's not leaking at all.

'87quest
For ABS delete http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wilwood-Universal-Brake-Line-220-6414-/310316902201?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4840542739&vxp=mtr and http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russell-641431-Endura-3-To-10mm-X-1-0-Male-Fitting-/151325251441?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item233bb01771&vxp=mtr then all you have to do is hook the black hose along the firewall to the hose coming off the intake, hook them together by the check valve (use the check valve still) and then to get the abs light off the dash go to the spare tire in the hatch and unhook the abs module in the front of where the tire goes and under the passenger side of the hatch floor.. like 4 screws hold it under there you can completely remove these. hope this helps.. there was a really good page on it but now it doesn't seem to be working? http://koquest.homestead.com/ABSRemoval.html Drake
Squrlsquash
all the abs delete threads ive seen have no surviving pics, and the write-ups are a bit foggy to those of us who havent worked with abs nonsense before. you mentioned a black hose? is it not a matter of mating up the A and B in my engine bay pic below? are you talking about the big vac line? http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag24/Squrlsquash/photo_zps46e494e0.jpg thanks-Aaron Edited June 12, 2014 by Squrlsquash
'87quest
No you completely delete those lines. They are a pain in the tail to get out I ended up cutting mine. You run the new line I showed you from the top of the master cylinder to the passenger side of the proportioning valve.. It's located on the firewall more on the drivers side it's where one of the lines from the abs canister go. The other goes to the top of the master. You just connect you new line from the master to the proportioning valve and it eliminates the two old hard lines. Then the hose you connect is on the firewall on the drivers side on top of everything kinda. It T's off and goes to the intake I believe. You just eliminate the T and connect it from the intake part to the part on the firewall. You should loos the part going across the firewall going torwards the passenger side. There's a little check valve thingy in the line that's where you hook them together. I can take a few pictures for you if you want. But then your ABS light will be on in the dash and of your a perfectionist like me you will go to the spare tire area and unhook the abs computer and that other abs module in front of where the tire sits. Hope this is a bit better explanation. It's really not very hard just takes an hour or so.. I'll go take some pics of mine and post them for you since that other site isn't working. Have fun! '87quest
Here's where the line goes http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u560/drakelehr/07FC033C-2E3A-410D-9DC2-5816D082FB51_zpsg0cket0l.jpg And it connects to the passenger side of the proportioning valve down below on the firewall here http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u560/drakelehr/4D3CC773-6840-445E-930A-E9CCC1D6AABE_zpsatanqqes.jpg And this us the hose you need to connect. I don't have and before pics sorry http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u560/drakelehr/7AE7E721-8F8B-4C9C-AF95-589D8FE034FB_zpsgzoizoys.jpg And you end up with a cleaner engine bay like this! http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u560/drakelehr/860B1874-BF91-468C-A94C-8C9FEE165433_zpsbpgpocjk.jpg Hope this helps! Just order the line and adapter fittings I posted earlier and that's all you need. Drake
'87quest
One more tip, when your trying to hook the new line up to the proportioning valve i found it much easier to do from underneath the car.. Although I have a two post lift so it was easy from standing under it Drake
Squrlsquash
Thanks for info and pics - just bought parts will take pics and try to post a comprehensive writeup on the subject - seems like a necessary mod for our cars that needs to be done right -like everything else, it only makes sense once you've done it or seen it... noobs like me have a hard time figuring stuff out when theres only scattered info on the forums
