  1. those damned fusible links are going to be the death of me. i really need to get rid of them. I think that was the problem because it started up and ran just after i took them all out and cleaned them up really good. thanks for the help folks, it's always appreciated! i'll post back in a couple days to confirm.
  2. Hi guys, I ran into something i may need help with. After some fiddling, I've found that my injectors are not firing any fuel. I replaced the fuel pump, and am getting fuel at the input/pressure line, but A- nothing on the return line and B- nothing coming from the injectors. I've been searching for a while in the forums, and I think it may have something to do with the fuel pump/injector relay described here. However, since the fuel pump is working, I'm not sure that the other side of the relay could go bad on its own. Anybody run into this? Any suggestions? (88 starion, stock tb fuel system, injectors were rebuilt by python about 6 years ago) Thanks!
  3. I'm in Richmond... I've got a white starion that's been well maintained. Recently rebuilt motor, relatively clean interior, tokico blues all around, just a couple minor things needing attention, but it's an everyday driver as-is. It's about a 5-hour drive from you, but you wouldn't have to ship it. Let me know if you want more info.
  4. Car's still for sale, if anyone is still interested. Price dropped to $2000. Daily driver as-is.
  5. Yes and yes. Let me know. Where are you located?
  6. here are some links to a couple more photos. interior engine bay
  7. Yeah I'll get some up in a little while.
  8. HahA it does look naked. I like it though. --I'm in the east end, not too far from the airport (I actually work at the airport). I live right near Government and Williamsburg. Let me know if you want do drop by. I'm free today actually.
  9. White 1988 Mitsubishi Starion $2000 <<Motor rebuilt and still fresh; less than 10,000 miles and no leaks >Stainless valves >Clutch upgraded at rebuild >rebuilt turbo >Ported exhaust manifold >Rebuilt injectors >Greddy Type X BOV >K&N air filter >Front tires are ok, decent tread. Back tires :/ meh. I'd replace them soon, but they're driveable. <<Less than 18K miles on suspension >Tokico blue shocks and Eibach adjustable coilovers all around <<Very new front rotors >All brake pads have good life on them >Could use some paint, but no rust to speak of. <<The dash is in great shape, no cracks or fading >The carpet is dingy, but could be cleaned >It really just looks a little used on the inside, but it's comfortable :] I love this car, but I don't need it. Best offer takes it.
  10. Thanks! I'll give it a shot.
  11. hey there... I just installed some mechanical rockers on my head. I was just wondering if any of you folks might know what the gap is supposed to be... I can't seem to find it anywhere. thanks

    Flatty in Va

Hey guys, I just wanted to post on here about a pretty sweet find i ran into the other day. I found a spare cylinder head in fredericksburg, va on craigslist and i saw the car he has while I was there (here's the link). I thought someone might want to know you can pick up a nice flatbody and all the spare parts for $1000. The car is in very decent shape, though not running, and I'd say it's a really good deal. The guy doesn't live there anymore and doesn't have time to work on it, so he's just looking to get rid of it. Just a heads up.
  13. How's about a Do It Yourself section, where members can post how-to pics, vids, and descriptions of projects they've done which are not big-money projects, but home made ingenuity? I mean, if someone has a good way to make your own carbon body parts or custom tail lights or air dam or whatever, this would be where to post it. I was just thinking that this would be a good forum to help the StarQuest community grow and keep positive interest even in a bad economy. I mean, I'm having trouble coming up with a few bucks for fun stuff to do to my starion, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So, Whaddya say? Clb4AG has one of these (yes, I had considered switching to an 86 for a while) and it's really interesting some of the ideas people come up with. Here's a link to the page. Browse through it and let me know what you think. Ben
  14. Hey fellahs, does anyone have a good stock cam they want to get rid of? Let me know, and thanks!
  15. Eric was the only one on the site who followed through with his offer to sell me parts. It was really great corresponding with him and all of the parts were in excellent shape. (thanks again, Eric)
