slowquest
I'm looking for this look, but hopefully a bit cheaper. http://i711.photobucket.com/albums/ww112/slowquest/557_1_zpsda32a0a2.jpg must be 18x12 0 offset, and 18x9.5 0 offset 5-114 bolt pattern. Thanks in advance!
jszucs
Good luck finding that offset unless you going with a custom 2-3 piece or full custom wheel. Atleast in a bolt patern, hub size, and rim size your looking for. Took me a long bit of searching before I gave up and said screw it I'll just run spacers on a rim that I like. slowquest
yeah, that's pretty much the same thing I've come up with, guess i'll just have to drop the 4k on these.
D_Venable
THIS is as close, and as inexpensive as your gonna get. not really the look your going for though, and I've already got the rears, with a 33mm spacer (the ones I traded you those seats for years ago in fact, lol) for a combined -13 offset and a 295/30-
Mingo1
Take a look at the Varrstoen wheels. Cheap and closest to zero offset I have found.
BOOSTED88tsi
Take a look at the Varrstoen wheels. Cheap and closest to zero offset I have found.Correct, and they have ccw reps, which is a kinda similar design to the wheels you want. If you don't mind used check the wheel and tire for sale forum of zilvia.net theres some good offset wheels on there from time to time.
spadey
D_ven got any side shots of your car wanna see how 18's look on a quest. I like the fitment of those wheels a lot and they do look sharp on Ebay lol Edited October 23, 2013 by spadey
D_Venable
Like I said above, I only have the rears
Crazy Quest
To those that want to BUY the wheels D Veneble has on his car I wish you luck. They are Rota's and they are fairly priced and they are listed on eBay but you won't be able to get them.
randy
Why no longer in production?
Crazy Quest
Why no longer in production? No they are still made but not sent to the U.S. In fact they never were. The only way to get them is to call Driftworks in the U.K. Even if you do that its extremely expensive to get them here.

I like the fitment of those wheels a lot and they do look sharp on Ebay lol Totally not as low as I want in the front, the back is fine. 18X9.5 fronts and 18X10.5 rears. Rolled and slight pull on the back, slight pull on the front. Adapters front and back Wheels were intened for a G35 with the sport package and brembos were noted. As long as your not using them for racing ECT I think 18's are where it's at on a quest. If you were really beating on it id run 17's http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/uploads/gallery/album_499/gallery_4419_499_58343.jpg Edited October 24, 2013 by jszucs
slowquest
I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna go with the Jongbloed's. I really like the way they look, and the fitment has to be exactly right to fit. By the time I get a set of used or incorrect fit wheels, then deal with adapters to get the fit right, I'm better off just ordering exactly what I want to start with. Now my only worry is if these will fit over the 3kgt calipers.
spadey
They do look good on the rear love that lip. And jszucs if only you could a little lower in the front. Like you said them rears are perfect.
D_Venable
those pics of my car, it doesn't have a motor in it, so the front is sitting pretty high. And slowquest, that sounds like the best route, use the fitment from those of us who've got stuff to fit to determine the offsets you need for the look you want. slowquest
hey Derek, any chance you could get an actual measurement from the inner edge to the strut on yours? I believe you were at -13 offset with the Rota's and less than a fingers width from your MR2 strut. I'll be on D2's and not sure what the difference in strut diameters are, but I want to be set in further than yours are. My thoughts are to machine off the "edge" that sticks out on the inner lip to get that bit of extra clearance. Hopefully it'll be enough with the 0 offset I want. D_Venable
I'll get under the car and get you some measurements tomorrow night or sometime this weekend, it wasn't much clearance though (iirc, I don't think I can fit my pink in the gap) Also, I'm near centered on my camber plates out back, but already at around -3° of camber Edited October 25, 2013 by D_Venable
D_Venable
You'll probably be ok with 0 offset, as my MR2 conversion, I'm running the Artinist sleeveovers, but at a much lower spring perch height, so my minimum clearance is to that threaded sleeve and not the strut body itself. I'll get some pics and measurement for you still though
jszucs
Yeah check check and recheck that innner clearence. My raw rims were hitting my strut houseing even without rubber mounted, and also why I had to space the front out for sure. I could have put the back on but it would have been like a creditcard width of room between rim and strut. I'm on Arts coils also. Had to cut most of the stuff sticking off the strut on the wheel side off.
slowquest
This pic of Derek's makes me think that I won't have any tire clearance issues due to the angle of the strut. I plan on running a 335/30 on the back. I absolutely hate the "stretched" tire look.

slowquest
I'm actually thinking about trying to separate the inner wheel well from the quarter panel at the pinch weld and seeing if I can pull the quarter a bit if I need to. I'll also roll the pinch weld flange, but really don't want to "flare' the wheel arch. I'm also curious how the D2's fair compared to stock style struts for clearance. D_Venable
Hey Larry, I can bring one of the wheels and spacers to try out when I come out to Ohio around Christmas/New years. I could roll down one day, and we can test fit it against the D2's to give you a more absolute idea of clearance
slowquest
I really appreciate the offer Derek, but the car is no where near that stage yet. It's still sitting on stock suspension right now. I'm also going to be running a much larger tire than you have. I'm 99% sure that strut clearance will not be an issue. With yours being a -13 and the clearance you have to the coilover and my willingness to grind the "edge" off of the inner lip of the rim, I just don't see it being an issue. My biggest worry at this point is the tire rubbing the inner liner. I've got to get the rims and tires and just go from there. Christmas and buying some vacation/retirement property has put a bit of a dampener on car stuff at the moment however....lol
jszucs
I would worry way more about cleaing the suspension parts. With coilovers you can always raise the ride height untill you can beat the wheelwells out enough. Going that big you have got to just be willing to say screw it and bash away.
