    TAC unit

I am looking for what the service manual calls TAC unit. It is the control module that is under the driver seat on my 89 conquest. Mine allows the windows to work after the 20 sec timer should halt window operation so the window relay is picked all the time and if the car sits for several days the battery runs down. My other 89 conquest works fine so would you have this module and how much do you have to have for it. PN# on my module is MB606956, Type G8C-07M, No. 004490 OMRON Japan. Email ccmcox@insightbb.com Thanks

  3. I have an 89 conquest that I got new. It now has 145K miles. I am having a problem with the power steering gear box leaking from the lower seal around the pitman arm. I found a used one from the starquest forum and installed it but it started leaking at the same spot. The service manual lists some high pressures for that pump. 1,067 - 1,166 psi. Could the pump be putting out to much pressure and blowing the seal or maybe I just got 2 bad gear boxes. Can any one help? Thanks Lots ccmcox
  4. I have a 89 conquest bone stock. Got it brand new in 89 and it has 150k miles. The steering gear box has been leaking for a long time but just now has been getting worse. Replaced the lower seal and it got worse. New seal won't stay in. Got a use box from a member and installed it and it is still leaking. All the fluid will leaked out after about 30 minuets of driving around town. Could the pump pressure be to high? Any others ideas? Maybe i got a bad used box. Can the box be rebuilt and by who? Thanks
