  1. I doubt that you'll do it for another $500. An easy to install system runs at least twice that much. Megasquirt is cheaper but requires in depth wiring & programming. Then you have to get intercooler tubing & boots, fuel fittings, fuel pump & decide on an ignition system.
  2. Be prepared to spend LOTS & LOTS of time setting up & tuning. Spend a week reading all the instructions before you start. Here's a link for Megasquirt. You may want to browse through it to see what you're facing. http://www.megasquirt.info/ms2/ If you have friends that you can rely on to help you to the end, you might want to go with their recommendations. Haltechs are a bit pricey though.
  3. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT burn tables ('Calibrate AFR Table' or 'Calibrate Thermistor Tables') on a running engine. Even idle is NOT allowed, because these tables ONLY exist in flash, so once a table is erased, there is nothing but garbage in there until it is re-programmed, one word at a time. Until that reprogramming is complete, operating the engine is unsafe. Ok, I did that: calibrated thermistors with engine running. MSII, V3, variant 028. So how do I do this reprogramming? BTW, the thermistors show accurate reading now. Is reprogramming still necessary?
  4. I'll take a galvanized set because it's getting painted next week. Paypal?
  5. I need a set if available; going to paint it next week.
  6. You can get it all on ebay under megasquirt. Mounting the pickup wheel needs to be precise. The bracket for the sensor must not flex either. The megasquirt must be set up for EDIS. Wiring is tedious. The wiring for the sensor & coil appears backwards on some diagrams.
  7. The VR sensor wire switch did it. Thanks! I'll post everything here when it's done. I need to get the Megasquirt running next.
  8. I can get a 12v square wave PIP signal with Megasquirt unplugged, but it drops to 5v when plugged in. Even witrh Megasquirt unplugged, when EDIS should still give ground pulse to coil, I get no pulse. VR signal varies in amplitude, probably due to skinny toothed wheel bolted to pulley, but it has a rested .5v on the DVOM. Can the variable VR signal cause the lack of ground pulse? I've tried 2 different modules & VR sensors, & had one module tested & verified working.
  9. how are those injectors held into the manifold?
  10. I could use a good TPS & knock sensor (not the box).
  11. Good TPS & Knock Sensor needed
