I figured I would start a new thread since this is different from the first. I re-re-installed the cam cap correctly and when I removed the rocker assembly with lifters this is what I saw! What is with the black spots. The previous owner drove it with 6 vacuum lines disconnected for 25 miles, a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator pushing fuel in because of the the disconnected vacuum lines. The engine runs smooth (now) and sounds fine. The spost smells allot like carbon, not so much fuel but fuel smell is there. After all my repairs should I just do a couple oil changes? Its been in non-op since I got it and I towed the car home. Nothing else seems to be an issue. I think that the previous owner should have towed it and cause extra fuel to be pushed int causing this build up. Thoughts? importworrier?
