I think we have enough members who participate in motorsports to make this a viable section. We can even divide it up into sub-categories such as Drifting, Road Racing, Drag Racing, Rally, SOLO, etc.

This way we can also differentiate modifications from those that are just for those who want a fast/nimble street car and those who are building their car as a predominantly or proprietary track car.

*shrugs*

Just thinking outloud :)

I'm in for that.  Good place to post setups and what not.  However theres about 5 ppl that track their car... not so popular I guess.

Track car or not, it may still be of interest to others.  As already stated, a lot of stuff crosses over; Drag, Road Course, Drift, Auto-x. etc.

Well I'll be honest, what spawned my desire for this was my searching for various setups about weight reduction and things of that nature. Many of you have helped out by replying in that thread. However, the OP stated that he wanted to maintain a "streetable" setup. That wasn't my intention, I wanted to reduce as much weight as possible, cabin-quality be damned, as long as it passes tech.

People who have no interest in racing their car wouldn't want that, and because the majority of us are not concerned with motorsports, the motorsports specific threads get buried rather quickly.

I recently picked up another FC RX7, my 2nd to date, and remembered the forums there had specific sections geared towards motorsports and various motorsports within. Granted, a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT more people are racing RX7s than Starquests, but (as mentioned) we probably could still get away with a general "Motorsports" [Discuss Drifting, Drag, Auto-X, Circuit, Rally, etc. Whatever floats your boat legally] section. Just my opinion though.
