They aren't done yet but they said they did one and it came out really nice so they have to do the other 3. Hopefully I can get them next week.

Do you mind if I ask the approximate cost?  Did you have any curb rash?  What all was done?  strip, polish, paint the grey areas, and clear?   Did they clean up the reverse side of the wheel as well?

Regards,
Kevin

They stripped the entire wheel and then they polished the lip, painted the grey, machined the spokes on a lathe and then cleared the entire wheel. Yes, they cleaned and painted the rear side of the wheel as well. There wasn't much of any curb rash bc I had that cleaned up a few years back by a reputable machine shop in my area. Everything said and done, was just over $1000.  This car gets no expense spared though so it doesn't matter to me as long as it's done right. They charged me a different price for every wheel depending on if they had to fix bends and wobbles and such.

Thank you, that helps me a lot.   I think it is worth me taking the rims both to this place and the hub cap store to have them quoted.   Especially seem as though they are so close by.

Kevin

Trying to upload before and after pictures of the wheels but no luck...trying to download photobucket but it won't let me finish so I don't really know what to do from here.

They look great!  I'm afraid I'd have to do one wheel at a time though. I have a 13" lathe & thinking of riser blocks to accomodate a 16" wheel.
A guy could make some friends here with the right setup. :)

Yeah, they did a great job. Worth every penny. And you are right...if someone on here can do it, it would be never ending work for them lol.

Both places are about 20 minutes from each other - you're right about that.  My wife and I actually got married in Bath.

Wheels do look good.  I never got a quote from them b/c The Hubcap Store was a bit closer for me.  Both places seem legit.

Can you take pictures in better light?  I'm picky and might send mine to Detroit Vintage Wheels I depending on your pictures .

That's pretty much as good as they are going to get. The car is being stored and the interior is out of it getting redone, so I can't move it either. Sorry. But, I can tell you this...I am as picky as anyone could get about every car that I own and if the job wasn't spot on, I wouldn't have taken them back till they were done right. So, if that's any consolation, they are honestly as close to perfect as they could get.
