I took care of wiring up the reverse lights today.  I really didn't want to cut into anything on the cars harness side so I just used the stock auto harness and wired into the 5speed plug.

Here's the diagram

Posted Image

I cut the 5 speed plug off

Posted Image

And used the harness/plug from the auto to make a plug and play to the OEM harness.

It's been hot as all hell around here lately to I decided to work on the A/C.

Started by checking and blowing out the drain hose under the carpet, it was clear but I guess it's good to check.  Started by replacing the bad A/C pressure switch:

The new switch

Posted Image

Switch installed

Posted Image

Also replaced the drier.  Also replaced about 8 different seals

Posted Image

The retrofit kit installed

Posted Image

This was the temp in the car before starting.  Outside it was around 97

Posted Image

Got the manifold and pump hooked up

Posted Image

Put in 24oz of R134 and 3oz of oil

Posted Image

The temp after getting it all charged up.  Its blurry but its around 50-52 degrees

Posted Image

I checked the temperature on my 2000 Infiniti and it also had 50 degrees running down the highway.

Well I missed a bunch of updates after i had some set backs trying to diagnose a noise.  But here it is done.  I've put around 65 miles on it and feels fine so far.  I haven't really got in it hard since the clutch is new but all the shifts are smooth and the clutch engages fine.

Car looks great! So jealous of your ac. If clutch pedal is too close to break pedal I cut my clutch pedal pad off carefully and re-welded it further left. Made it so my big clown feet don't get tangled up.

Replaced the power steering pressure and return hose today.  What a damn pain.  The pressure hose was leaking all over the place.

I got the hoses from Advanceautoparts.com.  I used a discount code I think code TRT30 and got 30% off.  Rock auto has them too but they were a little more with shipping than advance.

I checked for leaks after I got done and all the fittings and hose connections looked good and I went through the whole bleeding process from FSM.  I guess we'll find out after driving a while.
