use a fast acting relay-make the light come on only when it detects knock. Better than turning it off when it detects knock. Let me know which wire is the signal wire and I will make it.

Depends, if you have broadband and have Kazaa or the like, you could probably get it for free. (Couldn't imagine trying that on my freakin dialup crap) if not, save your pennies. It is made by adobe.

How high do you want it to sit? Mine is shimmed about a 1/4" with the stock bolts and a couple of rubber spacers off of a circuit board. Had no problems doing it or with the hood latching.

I have almost got the blue HVAC lighting mastered. Of course, LED's defeat the dimming of the stock unit, which is what I want: bright enough to see at daytime= way too freakin bright at night. Here is what I have come up with. I have figured out how (in theory) with a couple of IC's and potentiometers to come up with a system that is: brightness A-key on, headlights/parking lights off brightness B-key on, headlights/parking lights on Meanwhile, whichever function button (off, lo, high, etc) is selected, will override brightness A & B and be a third preset brightness. BTW-All of the three brightness' will be individually adjustable, in order to fine tune the way I like it. Thoughts? I am just trying to figure out whether it is worth the hassle to get the third brightness of the switch being activated. I have the day/night layout done on a breadboard right now, hopefully within the week I can have it on the car. Was thinking about offering a kit to the club members, but if there is no interest, why bother :-/ BTW, thanks Venom for the input.
